Alice in Borderland Season 2 has just wrapped filming and is moving on towards its post-production phase. This means that the sophomore installment of the Netflix thriller series is inching closer and closer to its release date. In a recent promotional video clip that Netflixgolden posted on their Twitter page, we can see the actors playing the ten survivors at the end of Season 1 talking about what it was like shooting for the upcoming Season.
Alice in Borderland is a Japanese live-action adaptation of a manga by the same name. The sci-fi action thriller follows Arisu, a young man who has an obsession with games. After he and his friends suddenly find themselves teleported into an alternate reality where Tokyo city is a dystopian and desolate place, new harrowing and fatal challenges present themselves. Arisu and his friends must play these games if they want to survive.
The Cast of Alice in Borderland Season 2 Share their Experiences While Filming
The show’s lead, Kenti Yamazaki, who plays Arisu, describes the filming for the Second Season as something grand. According to the actor, the scale of the scenes is larger than ever. What’s more is that the filming included these larger-scale scenes being a regular schedule for every day. The world-building for this sophomore Season of the thriller is even crazier. Yamazaki also added that returning for the show several years after the first one was emotional for him. Yamazaki described his experience during the principal production as enjoyable. “..I really look forward to the final production,” said Yamazaki. Tao Tsuchiya, who plays the role of Usagi on the show, resonated with similar sentiments as Yamazaki.

Season 2 Has Big Set Pieces & Explosions
The actress also went to shed some light on how big the set pieces and explosions this time around are. She described each shot to be a grand spectacle involving extravagant settings and effects. Like Yamazaki, Tsuchiya also talked about her enjoyment during the shoot, also adding that the experience was a valuable one for her. Nijiro Murakami, who plays Chishiya on the show said that the fun experience for him was made happier by the main cast returning to the show, and according to the actor, they all clicked incredibly well right off the bat. Ayaka Miyoshi, who plays Ann, said that all actors worked very hard on Season 2. She also shared similarly positive sentiments regarding her experience during the shooting.
Dori Sakurada, who’s also returning to the show as Niragi, said he was looking forward to the Second Season. Also talking about Season 2 and how the fans have been awaiting it, Aya Asahina, who plays Kuina, said, “The First Season was very well received, so I kind of knew we might get a Second Season.” She went on to add that she still felt elation at the news confirming it. Lastly, Sho Aoyagi (Aguni) and Riisa Naka (Mira) also shared their experience with the filming and what this Season will entail.
