Spaceman’s first look teaser which is 23 seconds long has been released by Netflix starring Adam Sandler and is on slate for a March 2024 release.
Spaceman has been directed by Johan Renck, and starring Adam Sandler, Paul Dano, and Carry Mulligan. The first look that was dropped on YouTube suggests that it is science fiction.
It showed Yakub, Sandler’s character in a space suit, threading through the waters. A background voice utters, just like you, I have also fled my planet. Through galaxies, through time, through black holes, and here I find you. You can check the on official Netflix’s YouTube channel.
Official Synopsis of Netflix’s ‘Spaceman’
The official Synopsis suggests that six months have passed into a solitary research mission at the solar system’s edge.
Astronaut Yakub understands that the marriage that he has left behind might not be waiting until he gets back on Earth. He wants to fix things with his wife, Lenka played by Carry Mulligan. He receives help from a mysterious creature from the beginning of the time.
He finds the creature hiding in the ship. Hanus voiced by Paul Dano, works with him to align everything and understand what went wrong before getting late.
The movie has been adapted from a 2017 novel written by Jaroslav Kalfar, a Czech author. The script of the movie was written by Colby Day and also features Isabella Rossellini, lena Olin, and Kunal Nayyar as part of the case.
Peter Kiernan, Reid Carolin, and Channing Tatum are the producers alongside Kia Buman, Tum Headington, Max Silva, and Michael Parets. We have seen Renck’s amazing direction in HBO’s Chernobyl, executive produced the upcoming movie alongside Barry Bernardino and Ben Ormand.
Spaceman will show Adam Sandler getting back to some drama after a while. He was seen in Hustle, which was a basketball flick back in 2022.
This year he was seen in characteristic comedies like animated Leo, Murder Muster 2 starring Jennifer Aniston, and lastly, You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah. He is also working on some other projects with Safdie Brothers and Noah Baumbach.
About Sandler’s character
Johan Renck, the director, revealed in an interview that Adam’s role is the crux of the movie because his character will be seen in most of the scenes. He also mentioned it’s not a 57-year-old typical role.
He said he wanted to have a performance from Adam like never seen before. He said he doesn’t understand how (although) he may look as sweet and funny, he is astute, profound, and intelligent.
Fan reactions after the first look at the trailer
The movie is set to drop in March 2024, the teaser received a positive response and fans were happy to see Adam in a more serious and dramatic role. Fans showed love and looked excited about the upcoming movie.
