Has A$AP Rocky been arrested? In a shocking turn of events, popular artist A$AP Rocky was arrested Wednesday at Los Angeles International Airport in connection with a shooting that happened in November last year.
A$AP Rocky, whose real name is Rakim Mayers, was arriving on a private plane from Barbados, where he had been on a brief vacation with his girlfriend, Rihanna. The two are all set to welcome their first child together. The pair were recently hit by split rumors after it was alleged that ASAP Rocky has cheated on the Umbrella hitmaker.
A$AP Rocky Has Been Arrested With Alleged Involvement In A Shooting Incident!
As the law enforcement sources who are familiar with the matter have further stated that Rihanna was with Mayers when he was arrested, it was further revealed that a search warrant had been executed at Mayers’ residence in Los Angeles as well. This arrest has further been confirmed by Mayer’s attorney, Alan Jackson. The rapper was booked into jail at 12:42 p.m., and bail has been set at $550,000.
As ASAP is the suspect in the shooting incident that took place on November, 6, near Vista Del Mar and Selma Avenue around 10:20 p.m., according to the LAPD. The shooting victim further claimed that Mayers, who was there with two other people, approached the victim with a handgun on the street. The victim further revealed that Mayers shot at him not once but three to four times. He believed that one of the bullets grazed his left hand, as stated by the police authorities.
Moreover, this is not the first time that the artist has been stuck in legal trouble, as he was earlier arrested in Sweden. This happened after a heated fight took place on the street between his entourage and two men. The former US President Donald Trump further fought for Asap Rocky’s release. Trump even warned Sweden about the negative consequences if he was not freed. Meyers was further given a suspended prison sentence and had to pay $1,000 in damages, and also served a month in jail before the sentence was handed down.
