Shin Kyung Soo created and directed the new thriller K-drama series The First Responders. Kim Rae-won plays Jin Ho-gae, Son Ho-jun plays Bong Do-jin, and Gong Seung-Yeon plays Song Seol in the series. Jung Jin-woo, Lee Jung-hu, Ji Woo, Jung Sang-hoon, Kang Gi-doing, Son Ji-Yoon, Woo Mi-Hwa, Seo Hyun-Chul, Lee Hwa-Jung, and others make out the cast.
The new emergency rescue drama relies upon a hot-headed, uncompromising police officer who follows unique tactics to tackle many impossible instances. The trio works with two firefighters, Bong Do-jin and Song Seol, to save innocent victims and bring them to justice. The first season premiered on SBS TV on November 12, 2022, and continues to air every Friday and Saturday until the end of the season.
The First Responder’s Plot
The suspense drama’s first episode got off to a fast start. Jin Ho-gae, a short-tempered and uncompromising police officer who chooses to follow his own laws rather than become a government puppet, is presented right away. He was given the nickname “Jindo Dog” because he bites so hard it’s impossible for him to let go. He is a quick thinker and problem solver who adopts inventive techniques to achieve his aims.
The First Responders generally follow criminal situations that appear impossible to solve and rescue, but with coordination and quickness, they can succeed. Even if they are unable to save every victim, they do their best to bring them justice. To solve unsolvable problems, Bong Do-jin, Song Seol, and Jin Ho-gae work together.
The plot’s growth has been consistent thus far. Each episode addresses a different set of concerns. The series’ principal theme is a crime against women, which can be linked to comparable conditions faced by women in South Korea on a regular basis.
Furthermore, the series delves into the corruption of government bureaucrats. Jin Ho Gae is the son of a powerful top prosecutor who is involved in a bad scenario and seeks to include his son as well, but Jin has broken connections with him.
Even if the plot is predictable, since other shows with comparable issues have been in the industry for a long time, the unique instances that are also relatable in contemporary times will keep the audience invested. Crimes have gotten so complicated that detectives must think like criminals to solve them. That is what the director is trying to portray.
First Responders Episode 10 Recap
Episode 10 of The First Responders picks up where the previous one left off. Ho-gae claimed that when the girl was thinking about suicide, her brother was still at home and refused to help. The family is stunned by the revelation and forces him to explain his conduct. He claims that the female was attempting to threaten him because he had physically abused her.
Furthermore, the child’s father was revealed to be Song Ha-cram eun’s school friend, whom she refused to accept as a lover. He killed himself because he couldn’t take rejection. Ho-gae sympathises with the teen and concludes the case for good.
Do-jin is assisting with various cases throughout the hospital when he comes across a patient who has lost a significant amount of blood as a result of a wrist-cutting suicide attempt. He notices the woman is missing her toes and promptly informs Ho-gae. The cops organise an emergency search party, but the perpetrator has already fled the hospital with the victim. The term “responsibility” refers to the act of deciding whether or not a person is responsible for his or her own acts. The episode then ends on a cliffhanger.
