With the series just starting for us, fans are curious about knowing how to watch Drag Den Philippines. Well, we have got you covered for that. Manila Luzon is the host of the series as she has previously appeared in Drag Race by RuPaul. While talking about the series in an interview, Manila said that she wanted to create a similar platform for all her fellow queens from the country.
Obviously, the concept of Drag is not rather fully in the country and in the minds of people yet like it is in the western nations. This show will act as a way through which they can all ease into the transition and help the youth know more about it while also generating opportunities for them to showcase their talents and creativity. While talking about the same, Manila thanked RuPaul and said how if it were not for her, she would never be in the position or power to create and host her own Drag show.
Just like RuPaul was to her, Manila wants to inspire and tailor the youth to becoming the next famous Drag Queens and have a platform so that they can shape and reform the community for the better. Obviously, this was a very beautiful thought on her side as she explained the series would feature a pageant type of competition taking place.
Drag Den – About The New Show
Also, you guys should know that this series has no links or ties to RuPaul or her Drag Race whatsoever. Although, we are kind of hoping to see her come on the screen sometimes and lend words of appreciation and support for future queens. The whole announcement of this project was made by Manila last year through her TikTok. She talked about how there is a casting call, and all the women who are interested in taking part in the same will be able to come forth and audition for the same.
Well, after the casting calls had closed, Even RuPaul stepped up to announce her casting falls for a new season of Drag Race Philippines. Obviously, it looked a little shady and controversial to all the fans who thought that there might be beef between the two of them. Jiggly Caliente, who is a judge on the Drag show, cleared out the tension in the air later when she told everyone that there is definitely no rivalry between anyone on the show. She said that Manila knew about her as well as the Drag Race contract, and even she knew about her upcoming show.
Right now, only one episode of the series has been released thus far. It introduced us to the eight drag queens who have been invited to the series from all over the country to take part in the competitions. They will now be entering an underground drug cartel. Nicole Cordoves was seen first who introduced them all to the rules and regulations and the arrangements.
She is the Drag Dealer on the series right now. Sassa Gurl is the Drag Runner. In this episode, we saw the Drag Enforcer to be Catriona Gray. She was invited to join the judging panel for the first episode as a guest. Gray has won the Miss Universe 2018 beauty Pageant and even has a variety of other pageants under her belt.
