Being one of the most well-known cooking shows to ever exist, Hell’s Kitchen continues to air high-intensity episodes each week. In the last episode, we witnessed the contestants battling through a game show type of quiz that required them to guess the jumbled ingredient names. The red team shines through the game and does its best to sabotage the blue team.
Things are only about to get much messier as we are only left with ten contestants, all willing to do anything to win the prize. Hell’s Kitchen first began airing its episodes way back on May 30th, 2005. It is one of the reasons that led to Gordon Ramsay’s fame worldwide, especially as an erratic, unpredictable, and angry host/chef.
It was originally inspired by a UK version, which involved Gordon conducting a similar competition with British audiences. The popularity of the American version has led to the release of almost 21 more seasons now, with the most recent season being on air since 29th September 2022. The format of the show involves two teams, divided on any particular basis or randomly by Gordon.
The two teams will have to face off in each competition until a sole winner remains. Hell’s Kitchen usually starts off with anything between 10-20 contestants, with a single person being eliminated after each episode. The competitions usually include replicating Ramsay’s dish, creating a signature dish, and cooking a particular dish.
Hell’s Kitchen Season 21 Episode 8: Recap
In the episode of December 1st, 2022, we see the two teams coming across a new type of challenge. It involves them guessing up the jumbled word which corresponds to an ingredient. The team that guesses it first can either choose to keep or give it as sabotage to the other team. The main ingredient was meat, such as Venison and Duck.
Tara is saddened by her only friend on the show being eliminated the last episode and now feels as if her own team is against her. Nonetheless, the red team sabotages the blue team’s venison dish causing them to lose the challenge. This episode was judged by Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo.
As a prize, the red team gets to hang out at a bowling alley and enjoy food from Jon & Vinny’s, while the blue team is left behind to pit olives. During this challenge, the teams could choose whose dish would get tasted as two contestants from the same team made similar dishes.
This allowed those contestants to escape the competition, and Gordon later surprised them with a new one just for them. This proves to be fatal for Ileana, as she ends up being eliminated in this episode.
Hell’s Kitchen Season 21 Episode 9: Release Date
The next episode of Hell’s Kitchen will be airing shortly on our televisions by December 8th, 2022. New episodes of this intense cook-off show air each Thursday, with a single episode lasting about one hour or more.
Hell’s Kitchen Season 21 Episode 9: What To Expect?
In the upcoming episode, we’ll be seeing the sets of Hell’s kitchen having a fun revamp to host an entertaining carnival. With only 10 contestants remaining, the show is inching towards its end, but as always, the intensity seems to be increasing as well.
Just like the competition from the previous episode, the contestants would be facing one chef randomly, but instead of selecting an ingredient, the contestants would have to win in the various carnival games to increase their advantages in the cooking challenge.
The contestants are also asked to make a delicious-looking (and tasting) steak which could just end up deciding the length of their stay in the competition.
