Steven Spielberg has brought revolutions in many genres, but his top most revolutionary genre will always be War Drama. He is undoubtedly one of the directors who brings the best out of the story and puts every aspect on the table.
Wars leave a really deep cut into your mind and heart. So much blood, so much sacrifice, so much to give up. But, one thing they gained? Brotherhood. “We know how to win wars. We must learn how to win Peace…” is one the most accurate and specific quotes from a movie we will ever find.
You may have won the war, but the Peace, the rest you need after the war is over, is something you will search for for years. Those traumatic events follow up with you to give you mental disturbance. After all, we all are humans at the end of the day.
Band of Brothers is one such miniseries that showed the reality of the members of the Easy Company. The things they went through, even after the war ended.
Band of Brothers and The Pacific
Steven Spielberg’s and Tom Hank’s Band of Brothers 10 episodes miniseries based on the book of the same name by historian Stephen E. Ambrose was released in 2001, and it is still one of the best War Drama series we have ever come across. It was distributed by HBO.
The story revolved around the Easy Company of the 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment through the European Theatre, where they enacted the struggles of the members at the time of World War II. Band of Brothers is somewhat based on reality, as Veterans’ interviews and experiences were used to structure the story.
The miniseries was followed by HBO’s The Pacific (2010) War Drama which was based on With the Old Breed: At Peleliu and Okinawa by Eugene Sledge Helmet for My Pillow by Robert Leckie. It followed the story of three Marines in different regiments.
If you are a keen follower of War drama and love to watch shows and series like Band of Brothers, then we have you covered. Here are 31 Shows like Band of Brothers to watch today:

29. Hitler: The Rise of Evil
The Rise of Evil. That’s it; that said enough. The title suggests it all. The two-installment series is set in after the time of the first world war when Hitler was seeking to rise in power and showcased his increased hatred for Jews all over Germany.
The subjective story also showed the grapple Fritz Gerlich had to go through as, of course, he was against the rise of the Nazi Party. Such a strong storyline and a powerful title were not enough to catch the audience’s attention. Despite it being on such a low number on this list, it is a great series to binge-watch.
