And the fun in the anime has just begun because now we are getting closer to the music performances. In the first episode, we had a few music recitals, and they focused more on the comedy aspects.
And as far as comedy goes, it is the best year has to offer. Bocchi is the one who provides comedic relief most of the time, but without the show also won’t be what it is. In a short period, she has grown as a character, not enough that the story would just wrap up and end, but her growth is palpable. Her self-awareness also adds to the growth she is going through, along with providing comedic value to the series.
If you are someone who loves the comedy genre, this anime will make your stomach hurt. Clover works are clever with the anime that they choose, and while it looks like the production value is low, the awkward animation style is on purpose.

Bocchi The Rock Episode 3 gave us the full story of how the band lost their first guitarist, which led to Bocchi being chosen as their main lead. The episode started with Bocchi paying the price for trying to get sick in episode 2. She got cold right after her first day at the job, and given how strongly she felt about wanting to be with people, she regretted her choices.
She made sure to make up for the band and look for the vocal they had been searching for. Fortunately for Bocchi, her search won’t take too long as she already has a singer near them. There is only one problem, her inability to talk to strangers. Bocchi had made up her mind to get the band a vocalist, so she wasn’t gonna back down.
And this led to one of the funniest moments in the season when Bocchi tried to recruit the person in question. The vocalist in question is Kita, who is in the same grade as her but different section. The two are opposites of each other, one is too introverted, and the other is extroverted. This led to awkward phrasing from Bocchi to convince Kita, but she was finally able to convince her to come to the band. Albeit, it was Kita who figured out what Bocchi wanted.

Bocchi The Rock Episode 4 will show the band coming close together as a band and how to improve as a music group. Kita has made some progress with the guitar lessons she received from Bocchi. Not great, but now they have something they can work with. Meanwhile, Bocchi is over her position as a guitarist being threatened by Kita as she has something to do for a while.
But her tantrum about herself and the way she plays guitars and sings had led Manager to doubt Bocchi’s alter ego. However, for the time being, she isn’t interested in picking her nose, but she hasn’t had concrete evidence yet. As for the jokes, the anime does such a good job there is no point in explaining them, but they are better off being watched or read in the manga.
