House of the Dragon Episode 3 is up on the roster and fans are already curious about the same. In order to highlight this week’s episode, we saw how the king intends to marry yet again. Queen Aemma has passed away during childbirth and every man, on the small council of the King has advised him to take a new wife. The entire episode revolved around him making this very important decision which might either result in allies or enemies.
One such match is pitched by Lord Corlys Velaryon. He and Princess Rhaenys, the Wyeen who never was, have a 12-year-old daughter named Lady Lana Velaryon whom they intend to marry to the King. Viserys met with the child and had a talk but it was obvious that he was very uncomfortable taking a child as his wife. Meanwhile, Princess Rhaenyra had issues of her own.
Dealing with her mother’s death, she finds peace with Allicent, her best friend whom she has grown up with. As for the King, he is still confused about the decision and is seeking counsel from his men. Every one of them has advised the same thing, to take Lady Lana as a wife because this would make Lord Corlys Velaryon and his strong foot on the water a great ally. Also, he has the blood of ancient Valyria in him which would make his daughter with a Targaryen wife the perfect match to continue the legacy and line of the King.

Coming back to Prince Daemon, he was notoriously cunning in this episode. He sent a fake message over to the small council declaring about Lady Mysaria and how he intends to marry her given that she is with a child. Although, none of it was true as was made clear by her while having an argument with Daemon. In order to make peace and get the Dragon Egg back, the King chose to send Ser Otto Hightower along with a bunch of men. It was obvious he would not be able to do so without any bloodshed.
Acting promptly, Rhaenyra rode her dragon and went to Dragonstone herself. She intelligently rescued the egg and finally had a conversation with her father where they both were on the same page and understood each other. By the end of the episode, it was made certain that this relationship could never go back to the way it was. That is because the King surely has made an announcement to remarry, although, he shall take Lady Allicent Hightower as his wife. This made Princess Rhaenyra awkward and she immediately left the room. Lord Corlys who is now an enemy to the crown, has joined his forces with that of Prince Daemon in Dragonstone.
