The plot is inspired by a novel of the same name written by Anthony Doerr. This book has won the Pulitzer Prize, and this indicates how amazing the series and its story are going to be. Three cast members have been confirmed by now. As for the plot, it 2ill focus on a blind French girl who is just a teenager right now. Her name is Marie Laure. Then we also have a German soldier in the plot. His name is Werner. The two come across soon in the episodes during a time in World War II in occupied France.

Other confirmed characters include Lars Eidinger reprising the role of Sergeant Major Reinhold von Rumpel. Then we have Andrea Deck enacting the character of Sandrina. The majority of the filming of the series took place in Budapest and Saint-Malo. There are going to be scenes of the street bombing, which were shot at Villefranche de Rouergue town. This small town has its architecture and ancient central square quite similar to Saint-Malo in style from the 1940s.

All the Light We Cannot See the release date is not set yet. We can predict, with the production underway, that the show shall drop out on Netflix sometime in 2023. The show consists of four episodes only. They will run for an hour at the least. Back in October 2021, All the Light We Cannot See was written. Filming was scheduled for this year in the first quarter at the locations we have talked about. It was supposed to end by July 2022. Various locations in Berlin and Hungary will be used for filming. Thus, with the show still in development, we can not expect it to release just this year. Watchers will have to wait till 2023.

Plot
The story of the book begins with Marie Laure, who lives in Paris along with her father. When Marie was just 12 years in age, the Nazis came to their town and occupy the entire Paris. While the city is being sacked, the two manage to flee two and escape to the walled Citadel of Saint-Malo. At this place, the two meet with their uncle in a tall house near the sea. Given the fact that his father works at the museum, Marie Laure carries one of the most precious jewels along with her, which they took from the museum. It might even put their life in danger.
