jTBC Apologies For Hurting Sentiments
While the k-drama ‘Insider’ is going strong, the jTBC k-drama has been accused of hurting religious sentiments. Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism has accused the broadcasting network of insulting Buddhists and Buddhist monks. The first episode of the k-drama showed an illegal gambling house having the interior of a large Buddhist temple. In a still from another scene, a Korean Buddhist monk has also seen sitting with the goons. In the episode, even the monks were shown gambling and making bets with other gamblers.

The scenes in question have also been edited out of the k-drama for online streaming platforms. The fans have shown mixed reactions to the controversy. While some called the k-drama a fiction, some claimed that the channel should’ve been careful.
