So You Think You Can Dance Season 17 Episode 6 is what we will talk about. Dancers performed in pairs this week, showcasing their skills in a variety of dance styles such as tap, contemporary, ballroom, hip-hop, animation, breaking, and much more. Forty-two outstanding dancers battled their way through the choreography the other week. However, the top twelve were announced in So You Think You Can Dance Season 17 Episode 5. The dancers have all put their best foot forward, demonstrating that they could both absorb instruction and stand out. A performance that wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea
There was also a reorganization among the judges. Matthew Morrison was no longer in the game. Leah Remini was one of the new guests. She was an Emmy-nominated actress. Remini wasn’t much of a dancer, to begin with. She was called in after Matthew was reported flirting with one of the participants, and the producers were most likely just seeking a high-profile woman, oblivious to the fact that this was a dancing competition. And it wasn’t something she was familiar with. As for contestants, Virginia was ranked in the top twelve regions. Juicy was not the case. One of the bot women was eliminated when they all came out together. That was a bit cruel.
Season 17 Episode 5 Recap
Before diving into So You Think You Can Dance Season 17 Episode 6, let’s quickly do a recap of the previous Episode. In Episode 5, Virginia had the opportunity to perform a Hip Hop pair with James. They seemed to work well together. James had entered the tournament alongside his girlfriend, and it had been difficult for him to remain away from her. He hopes his girlfriend could’ve been there, but he and Virginia wowed the judges after their first dance and set the bar high for everyone who came after them. Jordan & Waverly were the next to be paired. Waverly defeated Konnor, and Jordan defeated Jocelyn.
Jocelyn was the tournament’s only tapper. What will happen to tap now that she’s gone? Waverly & Jordan, on the other hand, created a stunning contemporary piece. It was mesmerizing. It displayed incredible synergy between the dancers, which not everyone sees. Especially after only a week of dancing. The next person to appear was Anna. She was victorious over Mia. The judges also gave her a strong warning that she would not be given any more chances. The caution kept her on her toes because she had entirely vanished from the group routine. Anna had the opportunity to perform with Beau. Beau was the guy who showed up to the audition in high heels.
Beau & Anna performed a Broadway piece, and the two of them were hilarious. With their routine, they made everyone smile. It was a lot of fun, so it’s excellent that Beau won over Samuel. Thiago was in the following pairing. His make-up was flawless. He defeated Jerome. He was coupled with Essence as well. Flora was defeated by her. They gave a contemporary performance. They had a nice time dancing to an 80s cover song. It had the promise to be fantastic, but it fell short because its toes were not pointed in the right direction. Thiago wasn’t putting in as much effort as he could have. As a result, the performance was decent when it could’ve been fantastic. Now we will discuss when will Episode 6 of So You Think You Can Dance Season 17 will release.
