2. I Want To Eat Your Pancreas (2018)
I want to eat your pancreas is about two high schoolers on different sides of the social spectrum. One character is dying and wants to live, and the other is alive but is dead inside. Sakura is sick with pancreatic disease and forces her friendship on a boy who she discovers reading the diary she lost in the hospital lobby. The interesting thing about this boy is that he doesn’t reveal his name to her until they go on a trip together. Sure enough, this doesn’t bother Sakura. For someone who is “Living with Dying,” she finds some comfort with someone who turns out to be distant from people and goes out of his way to not reveal too much emotion or become attached.
1. Grave Of The Fireflies (1988)
This movie takes you to Japan, which is the war place where Japan surrenders after World War 2. The story is about the two siblings, Seita and Setsuko. Their mother died during the atomic attack in Hiroshima, and the father was working in the navy. It is a tragic story, with the hue and cry of the people. The end of this sad anime movie will for sure leave you in tears.
