On Tuesday, May 31, 2022, Disney revealed during the Good Morning America morning television talkshow the upcoming teaser trailer for the live-action reimagining of the Disney classic Pinocchio. Pinocchio Trailer Breakdown
The trailer begins with some enchanting music and a take of Gepetto working tirelessly in his shop. The titles alternate between some characters, presenting Tom Hanks as Gepetto. After that, we see the mess in which he lives in his house, with a cat sleeping warmly on a desk.
Then, Gepetto takes off his glasses, sets them on the table, and holds Pinocchio’s wooden hand, covered by a knitted glove as he pronounces the following words, “star night, star bright, first star I see tonight. A Fairy Enters Gepetto’s Room
After that, Gepetto goes to bed, the screen goes black and then turns bright white. And the music starts singing “When you wish upon a star” as a fairy enters his room full of sparkles and light. Then, the scenes smash cut to a ship landing on the dock, a shot of Jiminy Cricket. A seagull, Stromboli the Carnival king, and the cast credits.
