Under The Banner Of Heaven Season 1 Episode 6 comes with crucial information for the case of Lafferty. Thus becoming an important piece as we head towards the finale of the series. The last time around, the story of Laffertys took a darker and more sinister turn. Pyre learned about the ex-communication of Ron and Dan as the latter wanted to marry his own daughter. Ron, on the other hand, inflicted domestic violence upon Dianna.
Bernard Brady became an integral part of the investigation as he revealed a number of things which included a school of Prophets. He further came to tell that Ron is far more capable than just domestic violence. Ron believed he was the one and mighty selected by god. Now he might be doing this all to let the world know. Under The Banner Of Heaven Season 1 Episode 6 Recap
Under The Banner Of Heaven Season 1 Episode 6 opens up at the Lafferty parents’ house. While Tada searches the house, Pyre talks to Doreen, who denies that Ron didn’t care for his father. Something pretty opposite of what Brady had to say. This saw Pyre taking Brady on the side to interrogate him further. Brady came to disclose about Ron thriving for purer Mormonism by following John Bryant. Someone who was successful in building a community like this twice.
We also see how Ron met Prophet Onias and how he initially didn’t believe in him. Until Onias introduced him to the dream mine and told him that he thinks he is the one God selected. Apart from that, even Doreen revealed a few details about two bearded men named Chip and Ricky, who might have tagged along with Ron when he went to kill Brenda.

She also tried to help the women of the Lafferty family by bringing in two missionaries, only to fail.
In the end, Dianna confesses to Brenda that she feels unsafe. So Brenda and Lows smuggled Dianna and her kids. Talking to Allen, Pyre finds out that Ron might not have let go of Dianna so easily.
