Hope tries to bring Landon out of limbo but realizes she has no choice, that she is not doomed to die, and that she should live without him. Hope vows to Landon that she would always love and remember him. Ken begs Aurora to rule with him and assist him in killing Hope. Aurora begs him to resurrect Tristan, but he declines, promising to treat her well and convincing her to help him as he demonstrates Jen fooled everyone and Tristan mistreated her.
With a kiss, they seal the agreement. Alaric and Ben design a strategy to combat Ken, which involves siphoning Ben’s magic and using it to attack Ken, which may kill Ben, but Ben is fine with it if it kills Ken. Landon discovers that the Ferryman has a claim to his soul. MG admits to Lizzie his love for her, just as she discovers that Ethan’s skills make him doomed to die young. Hope awakens and informs Alaric that certain fights cannot be won alone. He tells her that he’s delighted she’s back and that it’s now her turn.
