The new boy group, ABØ of IST Entertainment, will be debuting really soon! These boys undoubtedly would have a lot of expectations to live up to as they would soon be labelmates to Apink, The BOYZ, and Weekly. But fans think that they will be easily able to do that after watching them on the survival show The Origin- A, B or What? Initially, there were thirteen contestants competing in the survival show, and six would have to be eliminated to make it to the final lineup of seven members.
Through the finale of the survivals, contestants Jeong Seunghwan, who ranked first; Oh Junseok, who ranked second; Seok Rakwon, who ranked third; Ryu Junmin, who ranked fourth; Bae Hyunjun, who ranked fifth, Yang Donghwa, who ranked sixth, and finally, Kim Yeonkyu who ranked seventh were chosen for the debuting boy group. IST Entertainment came up with the name ABØ for the new boy group. The meaning behind the group’s name is ‘At The Beginning Of Originality. According to reports, the new boy group of IST Entertainment aka ABØ is supposed to debut by the second half of 2022. By then, you could go ahead and start memorizing the names of the members of ABØ!
Junseok
Junseok is the eldest member of ABØ. His full name is Oh Jun Seok, and he was born on March 3, 2003, making him a Pisces. He was one of the first contestants to join the company Junseok has won second place in the overall show with 1710 points. He says that his role model is the famous rapper and singer-songwriter Jay Park. A fun fact about him is that he is well-trained in Taekwondondo and has also earned many medals before becoming a K-pop idol.
Junmin
Next up is the second eldest of ABØ, the new group of IST Entertainment, Ryu Jun Min. Ryu Jun Min was born on April 5, 2003, and was also a former SM Entertainment trainee. It looks like he will be a powerhouse of vocals! He used to play an instrument called Nanta and has three younger siblings, one younger brother and two younger sisters. Plus, he would like to be called ‘the nation’s first love’ because who would not want that nickname!
Hyunjun
Bae Hyun Jun was born on June 6 and ranked fifth in the overall survival show. He is a Gemini, and if he had to describe himself, he would call himself a cloud. Moreover, Hyunjun also has a younger sister, and he can play the harmonica.
Donghwa
Yang Dong Hwa was born on August 19 also in 2009 (which makes him a Leo) and has an older brother. He had trained for two and a half years and might as well become the visual of the group. He has really charismatic eyes as well as an amazing figure!
Rakwon
Seo Rak Won was born on November 14, 2002, and had worked as a young model. He is a Scorpio, and his MBTI personality is INFP. He had ranked in the third position in the survival show with a total of 1520 points. He had trained for two years and nine months and is also a former SM Entertainment trainee. Another great vocalist!
Seunghwan
Jeong Seung Hwang was born on January 27, 2004, in Busan, South Korea, and has two older sisters. He is an Aquaris. Seunghwan had ranked first in the survival show with 1760 points. Fun fact: He claims that he can hold a staring contest for ten whole minutes!
Yeonkyu
Kim Yeon Kyu was born on May 3, 2004, and is evidently the maknae of the group of IST Entertainment, ABØ. In addition to that, he is a Taurus. Some might recognize him as a YG Entertainment trainee who participated in Treasure Box but was eliminated. He trained for ten months under IST Entertainment and even went to a Daejeon Dance Vocal Academy. It looks like we have another talented maknae in the waiting!
