50 Cent’s Power series Power Book III: Raising Kanan Season 3 release date keeps giving everybody something to talk about. This particular spin-off —was developed by Sascha Penn, under the supervision of Courtney A. Kemp— serves as a prequel to the famous “Power” series that made the 50 Cent crime drama series a super hit show.
In case you’re not familiar with the Power spin-offs, each one tells the story of events that happened prior to Power’s events. In this particular one, we travel back in time thirty years to New York City. Moreover, we go to the tough neighborhoods where Kanan Stark cut his teeth as a young drug dealer and made his way to the top in a sprawling spiral of violence, crime, and power influence. Now, without any further ado, let’s begin taking a look at the potential third season’s release date.
Season 2 is Chronically Delayed
We have to inform a few regrettable issues concerning this crime drama. Firstly, the sophomore season of Raising Kanan still hasn’t debuted. Why? We have the same old usual suspect to blame: Covid. That’s right! Not so long ago, Courtney A. Kemp went on social media to talk about the “Power” franchise. And we can scoop up from the many things she said that Book III was delayed because of Omicron. It was the Omicron wave, the new strain that managed to screw things up for our favorite series. Raising Kanan faced so many setbacks: They couldn’t film on location because of lockdowns, contagions, and the general restrictions on all the aspects of developing a production of this kind.
Usually, the spin-offs dropped back-to-back, but that was way back when we didn’t have to wear masks and stay at home frantically streaming away not to get claustrophobic. Once we ran out of series to binge-watch, then came the problems for the producers. Still, there’s a ray of light and hope at the end of the chronically delayed tunnel. If all goes according to plan, Book III season 2 might drop in summer 2022. As to the exact date, well it’s all up for grabs. Still, rest assured that when Starz drops the sophomore season, we will post an update for you.

Finale Recap
We’re doing a debut season finale because there’s no sophomore season yet! The episode kicked off with Kanan pointing a gun at Detective Howard. And he was about to pull the trigger. But something clicked inside of him that made him change his mind and ran away. In Kanan’s logic, Howard would’ve succumbed to his other wounds. After that Kanan tossed the gun and Scrappy picked him up.
Once Kanan and Scrappy met up, they were going to meet Marvin to give the man his jacket. Afterward, Kanan would be on his way to his grandmother’s place. But the moment they leave Marvin’s pad, the police block them off and all hell breaks loose.
What Happened to Detective Howard After He Got Shot?
Jessica and Famous are visiting Lou-Lou at the hospital when they notice Detective Howard being taken to surgery. Police questioned an addict who had seen the shooter back at the crime scene. He tells detectives he was wearing a particular jacket, but he’s too buzzed to recall the details.
Lou-Lou glances out the window of his hospital room to observe the chaos below. When he learns Detective Howard has been shot, he is taken aback and soon recognizes who is to blame. Even though he’s still hurting from the fire, he runs out to check out what’s going on.
A Botched Plan B
Scrap and Kanan’s Plan B has been activated due to the lockdown. When they arrive at Raq’s house, she tells them to come inside and clean up. Scrap wants to get his car detailed first to eliminate any possible evidence left behind. Kanan follows, but Scrap intends to get his car detailed first to destroy any possible evidence left behind. Scrap informs Kanan that he has recently become a soldier before fleeing.
Raquel Wants An Explanation
Raq has Kanan go over what happened inside. She discovers his hand injuries from falling while fleeing the scene, but Kanan assures her that he is OK. He also informs her that Detective Howard has died, just as Detective Burke receives information about his condition from a new police chief, including the knowledge that he has leukemia.
Detective Burke and another police investigate the shooting and find Jukebox. Detective Burke challenges the cop’s earlier claims about police being pursued by someone as she searches through her bag. Unique, according to Jukebox, is to blame, ruling out Raq and Kanan in the process.
Bad news
Worrell reports that Detective Howard was shot and that Unique’s name has come up as the gunman at Unique’s house. Raq set him up, but he can do nothing about it right now. The most crucial choice is pulling his boys off the streets and going dark for a spell. Raq transports Kanan to Juliana’s store and places him in a back room until Marvin arrives.
Later on, Raq tells Juliana to give the film “Unique” fleeing past the shop after the shooting to the cops. Raq says her goodbyes to her son and walks away. Marvin makes a pit stop at Unique’s condo on his way to Kanan. Pretending to be a gas technician, he obtains admission and stashes the jacket in his closet. Just as Marvin steps out of the condo, Unique arrives with his son and mother. Marvin makes his way to Juliana’s but is halted at a police checkpoint, where he is eventually detained owing to a drug warrant. Marvin discovers Toni has abandoned him at the station.
Raquel Has Another Plan
Raq tells her guys to get ready to transport their product down the shoot when they arrive at the stash house, knowing the cops are on their way. Lou-Lou is the first to arrive, yelling at Raq for ordering a hit on an officer and having Kanan carry it out. He’s had enough with the game and wants out. Raq, on the other hand, claims that he is unable to go.
When the cops arrive to search the next flat, the two are still conversing. In the end, the shooting trick works. However, Juliana informs Raq that Marvin has failed to appear and that police are on their way to search her store.
The End
When Jukebox arrives, Kanan is still in the back of the store. He tries to play tough when it comes to the shooting, but Jukebox sees through him and calls him out. Kanan is too innocent to recognize that his mother is playing him and insists that everything is under control. When Juliana reached out, Symphony, who Raq had phoned, eventually picked him up and transported him to Maryland.
After Unique sees his jacket back in his closet, he is about to leave himself. When cops storm in and arrest him, he appears to be preparing to accuse his baby’s mother of planting it. Raq stares out over the city from a rooftop as everything falls into place. Because Detective Howard just woke up, she believes the mission is complete.

Power Book III: Raising Kanan Season 3 Release Date
Power Book III: Raising Kanan Season 3 has no official release date yet. Firstly, neither Starz nor Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson have commented yet on renewal. Not because the series isn’t successful, but because they have other things planned —like Book V, which focuses on Rashad Tate. Moreover, the people at Starz have to get the sophomore season out of the way. Apparently, it is in post-production.
Once they air it, it all comes down to how the series fared ratings-wise. And we’re referring to the final episode, not the first one. If the series does well, it will receive a renewal after negotiations with Starz alongside showrunners Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson and Courtney A. Kemp.
Bear in mind that the sophomore season of Raising Kanan faced some severe difficulties coming to fruition. Firstly in part to the COVID pandemic. Secondly in part of post-production issues. Still, as soon as we get a hold of any official new information, we will post an update for you here at Otakukart. With this, we reach the end of this update on 50 Cent’s production “Raising Kanan”. Thanks for reading our piece and please return to our homepage to learn more about what’s new in the world of entertainment.
