Han-soo Is On A Quest To Find Himself
Eun-hee’s first love, Han-soo lives in a city, though a very mundane one. Nothing is going according to him as he is in dire need of money for his daughter’s golf classes in the States. Meanwhile, Eung-hee’s life is quite opposite of his life. It’s filled with hustle and struggles of her own, like her brother’s trying to make money from her even though she did every bit for them. However, maybe at the end of the day, she’s happy. The characters surely have a lot of depth within them, and that’s what makes them so endearing.
Han-soo, after years, returns to the place he has spent his entire childhood, the Jeju islands. After reaching there, during ongoing chaos, he notices Eun-hee. His bank manager informed him about how rich she was. Han-soo was trying to arrange the money from every place possible, and he even had a talk with his sister about it.
When Eun-hee and Han-soo were heading toward the fish auction, he saw the sea and remembered the old times. Times when he used to laugh without holding any inhibitions inside him. He missed himself, his laugh, his childhood.
Han-soo reciprocates Eun-hee’s idea of going to Mokpo. It can be a possibility that he will ask for money from her over there, as that’s what has covered most of his thoughts.
We already know that Eun-hee still harbors feelings for him. However, during the trip to Mokpo, will Han-soo also reciprocate her feelings? His life at present is quite messed up, and maybe Jeju island and its people can heal some of it, though it will take some time.
