Avatar: The Last Airbender is an Animated Series produced by Nickelodeon Studios. It was written by Aaron Ehasz and Aired on Nickelodeon from February 2005 to July 2008. Avatar is probably the First American Tv series that was globally recognized as a high-ranking show for all ages of audiences. Many Millennials still argue about calling Avatar an Anime instead of Cartoon, but who cares.
While there might be some viewers who feel Avatar’s resemblance to Naruto and is often compared with it. But what most viewers don’t understand is that Every Story has a different element that cant be compared ever. And Avatar has got that Element in the story.
Avatar: The Last Airbender is set in a world comprising of Four Elements which are: Air Water, Earth, and Fire. These four elements all have an Individual nation divided across the world. Every nation has people who can practice the art of Bending. Which is to shape their specific nation element into a Fighting Ability with the use of Martial Arts. And there is often conflict among these Nations. Only Avatar helps keeps peace among all the nations. Avatar in the sense is the only one who can bend all four elements. In short, the story follows Aang, who is on a quest to save the world from the ruthless fire nation. And with him in this Quest will be his friends supporting him all the way.
With having many interesting elements, here are the 10 reasons why you should watch Avatar: The Last Airbender:
1. Story and world-building
Avatar Series story focuses on Avatar Aang and his journey with his friends. When Avatar Aang was missing for over 100 years and there was no one to keep the peace between nations. Then the Fire nation decided to declare war against other nations and ultimately invade them. Aang decides to fight, the emperor of the Fire Nation, to stop the war. And eventually starts his journey to master all four bending elements along with his friends. The world-building is remarkable in this Series. All the four-nation back story and how people got to use the bending power is very well executed. You will love how much, unique each Nation is in terms of geography or ecology.

2. The Characters
The Characters of the Avatar Series are just marvelous, you can see the level of deepness these characters possess. The first 10 minutes into the show and you are introduced to all major key characters of the story. Aside From our main character, Avatar Aang there is, Katara, Sokka, and Zuko along with Appa. Katara is a waterbender and the sister of Sokka. Sokka is a warrior of the water tribe with no water bending power but he still helps Aang in his journey. Zuko is the Exiled Prince of Fire nation, whose only aim is to capture Avatar Aang. Appa is Aang’s spiritual animal guide, who is very big and can also fly. He often acts as a convoy for Aang and his friends on a journey across nations.

3. Great Production
When a Production fails at conveying a good story to an audience, there can be ample reasons for it. Production of a series is not only focused on writing a good story. But also on how you will present it to the audience. Avatar production is top-notch, with great hand-drawn Animation visuals to ideal voice acting. As mentioned before, many viewers often mistake Avatar Series for Anime. The main reason for it is its animation quality. So viewers, who don’t like western cartoon animation, will be pretty shocked to see this series animation.

4. Fusion of Martial Arts with Elemental Bending
Mixing the real-world components with fictional powers for the story can be a risk. But there can be no arguments made against the use of Chinese Martial Arts knowledge in the Avatar Power specter. Avatar Series each element of bending power is derived from various Martial Art styles.

If you love watching Series with emotional music score then Avatar is the Series for you to watch. Avatar Series music is composed by Jeremy Zuckerman. The music score composed for every nation is just epic. My favorite score would be, the Fire nation background score. The music score for most characters also has a certain charm that helps conveys the context of the situation of the character. The Most Favourite Score of many fans is, “Peace”, cause the emotional intensity of this score is very high.

6. Life lessons
Every story has a purpose and a message that it eventually wants to convey to its users. The Avatar series focuses on political and emotional aspects of human nature. There are many moments in the Series when you will have self-realization and utter respect for some characters. For me, that Character was Iroh, Zuko’s uncle he has a very calm personality with a great sense of humor. One of my favorite quotes of his is, “In the Darkest of time, Hope is something you give Yourself”. Some life lessons become part of your life that you try to utilize in your daily life. And Avatar series will definitely convey to you some meaningful life lessons.

7. Astonishing Fight Sequences
We all love to watch Fight scenes as the adrenaline rush it gives us in the moment of the heat. A fight where you don’t know what the outcome would be is considered a great fight. Avatar has one of the best tournament fights and training sequences. Some of the best mid-fight arcs are Toph vs Earth Rumble Competitors and Aang vs Azula. Also, Be ready to witness one of the greatest climax fighting sequences in the history of animated series. It is very epic and emotional.

8. Avatar Aang: Best Protagonist
A character that leads you to believe in yourself and makes you think about your life choices is Avatar Aang. He is a kind person who believes in forgiveness rather than punishment and helps his friends in their dire needs. But what will you do, If your whole nation is wiped out by the Enemy? Aang lost his home and his family of Airbenders as they were wiped out by the Fire Nation. The emotions that Aang feels throughout the Series are so heart-wrenching that it breaks you as a viewer. The decisions he makes as an Avatar for people will surely make you think about some of your life choices.

9. Zuko’s Revolutionary Journey
Besides Aang, there is another character in the Series, the so-called Antagonist Zuko who goes through insane character development. He is introduced as a vicious Prince, who was banished from the Fire Nation. And wants to regain his honor by capturing the Avatar so that he can impress his father. As a viewer you are already not rooting for him, but what makes you feel otherwise. Zuko goes through a tougher journey than Aang mostly of humiliation and shame altogether helping him in his redemption. You will love Zuko’s emotional fights and how his uncle Iroh, helped him in his journey.

10. Not a lengthy Plot
The Plot of the Avatar Series is very steady and not very long which almost makes you crave for more. With the Most common Shonen Anime, its length is the biggest demotivation for viewers to not watch it. As they don’t have much time to invest in like a typical 300-500 episodes. Which makes the Avatar series so good that there are only Sixty One episodes divided into three seasons. Each season of the series covers an important element of the story to finally execute it in the climax. You can comfortably watch the entire show in a week and still not regret any second of it.
