It seems like Master Chief will go through a big punishment on Halo Season 1 Episode 3 since he went rogue to save Kwan Ha’s life. While the previous episode gave us a look at Kwan and Master Chief going through space to a place called the Rubble where anyone from the galaxy can live freely, without any restrictions or law enforcement. Whereas we also saw a flashback from Master Chief, aka John’s early days in the Spartans program.
On the other hand, Dr. Halsey met one of the important members of the high committee of UNSC and discussed her plans to deal with Master Chief going rogue and the artifact that he found on planet Madrigal. Meanwhile, John met his old friend Soren and tried to find out more information about the artifact and why were the Covenant after it. While the Covenant was devising a plan to get back the artifact and Master Chief as well.
The highly awaited science fiction, action-adventure television series inspired by the hugely popular and globally successful video game series of the same name has got the fans hooked just with the first two episodes. Therefore, the fans are now waiting to watch Halo Season 1 Episode 3. But first, let us find out what exactly went down in the previous episode.
Halo Season 1 Episode 2 Recap
Episode 2 of Halo Season 1 came out on 31st March 2022 and was titled “Unbound”. The episode saw Master Chief and Kwan Ha flying through space at a high speed and arriving on a planet made of Asteroids named Rubble. Before that, we had seen a flashback from Chief’s past when he was young and in the early days of the Spartans program. At that time, he and his best friend Soren had planned to escape, but Chief changed his mind and let Soren go alone. Back to the present, Chief and Soren met once again as Soren was now living on Rubble with his wife and a kid.
Meanwhile, at Reach, Halsey was planning her next move as she talked to Fleet Admiral Hood about how to handle Master Chief once he is brought back. In the meantime, the silver team of the Spartans set out to bring back Chief peacefully. On Rubble, Chief went to see a man who was had become a bit insane since he was once a hostage of the Covenant and could tell something about the artifact that Chief had recovered from Madrigal and why the Covenant was after it. The man was shocked to see the artifact and told Chief that it was an ancient thing, a weapon that would destroy the humans if it got into the hands of the Covenant.
Moreover, he also told that they had a human that was the only one who could activate it by touching. Although, he got surprised and shocked when Chief touched it and the artifact activated. Furthermore, the man realized that the Chief was the one who activated it much differently than the human on the side of the covenant. He also told the Chief to destroy it and himself too if he wants to stop the war. After hearing all this, Chief decided to leave Kwan with Soren so she can live there and be safe. While he went back to Reach since he trusted Halsey to help him out.
At the UNSC committee meeting, Halsey played the right move and suggested her artificial intelligence program Cortana that would replace the mind of Master Chief and the other Spartans, thus avoiding things like the Spartans going rogue. However, many didn’t agree, she did get approval to perform a trial of the program. In the end, Master Chief arrived at Reach and was put in the prison cell until his trial hearing. There he told Halsey what he felt and why he saved Kwan’s life. Eventually, we got a look at Cortana in the flesh as Halsey activated her.

Halo Season 1 Episode 3: Release Date, Spoilers & Air Time
“Halo Season 1 Episode 3 will release on 7th April 2022 at 3 am ET on Paramount+.” Although, the title for the upcoming episode is not yet confirmed. But the episode will see the Covenant trying to get their hands on the artifact. While others in the UNSC will try their own methods to control the artifact.
