The 2022 February individual idol brand reputation rankings have finally been revealed. The much-awaited survey done and published by The Korean Business Research Institute is based on analysis of the various big data collected in indices like consumer participation, media marketing worth, and the community’s perception of 1,453 idols in various social media sites. This month’s list is based on data collected from January 2 to February 2. Simply put, the individual brand reputation rankings reveal a list of the celebrities, idols, and groups whose activities made the most buzz all over the internet for the month.
As expected, all the members of BTS have made it into the top 30 of the list. Members of the girl-group Blackpink have also made their popularity known due to all four grabbing seats in the same. Vocalist Kim Taeyeon of the legendary girl-group SNSD too has grabbed a strong ranking in the February individual idol brand reputation rankings, owing to her much-awaited solo comeback with ’Can’t Control Myself’.
Top 5 of the 2022 February individual idol brand reputation rankings:
1. Jimin from BTS
The member of the worldwide famous band BTS who needs no other introduction, BTS Jimin, has recently been in the headlines for unfortunate reasons. It has been reported that the member has recently tested positive for COVID-19 as well as undergone surgery for acute appendicitis on January 31. Naturally, fans have taken to various social media sites like Twitter to wish the idol a fast recovery. This has catapulted the star to the number-one position in the February individual idol brand reputation rankings.

2. Lee Junho from 2PM
Veteran Kpop idol Lee Jun Ho is the main vocalist and lead dancer of the JYP boyband 2PM. He has become a hot favorite in South Korea because of his portrayal of Yi San/ King Jeong Jo in the MBC sageuk/historical drama ‘The Red Sleeve Cuff,’ for which he recently bagged the Excellence Award in the 2021 MBC Drama Awards. As a token of appreciation towards his fans, he recently hosted offline as well as online fan meetings called “Junho The Moment” on his birthday. 3. Kang Daniel from Wanna One
Rising to fame as the winner of Produce 101 season 2 and as a member of the now-disbanded group Wanna One, Kang Daniel has grabbed one of the top positions in the brand reputation rankings yet again. Known for his versatility in dancing and performing, Kang Daniel has solidified himself as an entrepreneur, too. He is the founder and CEO of Konnect Entertainment. Daniel has recently made his acting debut with the Disney+ drama ‘Rookie Cops’. So, needless to say, netizens have been abuzz discussing his portrayal of the character Seung Hyun. Fans are very eager to see Daniels’ acting chops as the series progresses.
4. Jungkook from BTS
The much-adored main vocalist of the boyband BTS is such a seasoned individual in the brand reputation rankings list that him claiming such a high position in the list comes off as a surprise to absolutely no one. The immense influence that the ‘Golden Maknae’ has again been proven, as recently a clip of Jungkook mispronouncing Chipotle as ‘Chicotle’ went viral to such an extent that even the official Twitter account of the famous American fast-food chain changed its username to @chicotle. Furthermore, a recent tweet by the Mexican Ambassador to the Republic of Korea in admiration of the same incident serves as a true testament of the influence that Jungkook commands. Ever since the launch of the BTS personal accounts on Instagram, V has kept his fans on their toes with constant updates of Stories and posts alike. His reign on Instagram is evident by the fact that he has recently become one of the only three people on the social media platform whose video has over 15 million likes!
Apart from the top five mentioned, various members from SNSD, aespa, 2PM, SEVENTEEN, as well as idol-turned-actors like Cha Eunwoo and Son Naeun have also created enough social media buzz to warrant positions on the February individual brand reputation rankings.
