In his heartfelt post, Ohtani expressed his gratitude for his wife, thanking her for giving birth to their “healthy beautiful daughter.” He also humorously noted that both he and Tanaka are “very nervous yet super anxious parents.”

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts mentioned that Ohtani might return to play over the weekend, noting that the new dad’s ability to “compartmentalize” might help him adjust to the sleepless nights ahead.
Ohtani had previously shared that he and Tanaka were expecting their first child in December 2024, with a sweet post featuring baby clothes and a sonogram.
