To honor his legacy, the first trailer for the documentary Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story has been released. This film highlights the life and influence of the actor known for his iconic portrayal of Superman.

Super/Man had its first showing at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2024. It was later announced at CinemaCon that the film will have a limited release in theaters this year.
The documentary has received a perfect score of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. Directed by Peter Ettedgui and Ian Bonhôte, it was acquired by Warner Bros. Discovery for $15 million, according to Deadline.
Christopher Reeve is best known for playing Clark Kent/Superman in the 1978 film Superman. This DC blockbuster earned over $300 million globally.
It has a certified fresh score of 94% and an audience score of 86% on Rotten Tomatoes. Reeve’s portrayal continued in three sequels, and he also appeared in the DC TV series Smallville as Dr. Virgil Swann before his death in 2004.
Reeve began his acting career in 1974 with a minor role in the TV series Great Performances. Outside of the Superman films, he starred in projects like Street Smart, Village of the Damned, and Rear Window.
Reeve’s last appearance as Superman was in Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut in 2006. A CGI version of him appeared in the 2023 film The Flash, alongside Helen Slater’s Supergirl. His son, Will Reeve, is also set to make a cameo in the 2025 Superman movie starring David Corenswet.
