It has been nearly a year since “Heels” was canceled, but this compelling drama about a wrestling family is making a comeback. The two seasons of the show, created by Michael Waldron, will be available on Netflix in the United States starting September 15.
Fans will get another chance to see the intense journey of Jack Spade (Stephen Amell) and Ace (Alexander Ludwig) as they strive to honor their late father’s legacy.
“Heels” follows two brothers after their father’s death. Tom Spade (David James Elliot) was not a perfect father. However, when he passed away, his wrestling business was left to his sons, who chose to continue fighting scripted matches.

But the Duffy Wrestling League holds more secrets than what’s seen in the ring. The siblings soon start to clash over pride, each wanting to become the top star of the promotion. The show was canceled last year after two seasons.
Before joining “Heels,” Stephen Amell gained fame as Oliver Queen in “Arrow.” This drama series helped launch a DC Universe on The CW, leading to shows like “The Flash,” “Legends of Tomorrow,” and “Supergirl.” Amell will soon appear in “Suits L.A.,” a spinoff created due to the success of “Suits,” now streaming on Netflix.
Michael Waldron, the creator of “Heels,” originally brought the show to life on Starz. Waldron’s career gained momentum while working on “Rick and Morty,” leading Marvel Studios to hire him for “Loki,” the series about Tom Hiddleston’s character and his battle with the Time Variance Authority.
Waldron’s passion for wrestling and storytelling is evident in “Heels.” Thankfully, this powerful series is now coming to a new streaming platform, where more viewers can enjoy the exciting journey of Jack and Ace in the wrestling world.
