Girl’s World, a girl group under Liz Entertainment, has faced numerous challenges since its debut in 2022. Originally comprising four members—A-Ra, Windy, Kyrin, and HARi—the group struggled to gain traction with their debut track, “Rapunzel.” Their journey has been fraught with obstacles, including the potential threat of disbandment.
In a bold attempt to save the group, A-Ra revealed on her private Instagram that she made a bet with their CEO to sell 100 copies of their second album, “Fly High (Thumbelina),” to avoid disbandment.
This news sparked significant attention online, rallying netizens and fans who quickly created a demand for the album. Liz Entertainment even facilitated international sales to capitalize on the growing interest.
However, just as hope was rising, complications emerged. Liz Entertainment announced delays in the album release due to the departures of Windy and Kyrin, citing “small and big problems.” The agency promised to bring in new members, but this only added to the confusion regarding the group’s status.
In March 2024, A-Ra announced her departure, only for the agency to state she was on indefinite hiatus due to health reasons. HARi expressed a desire to debut in a new group, which Liz Entertainment supported, starting preparations for a new team.
The situation led to speculation that Girl’s World was effectively disbanding. Liz Entertainment clarified:
“Hello. This is Liz Entertainment. Despite internal friction, the company has been tirelessly leading and protecting Girl’s World. However, Hari desired to launch a new girl group under a different name, and respecting that opinion, the headquarters decided to reflect it.
Although the four members of Girl’s World (Windy, Kairin, Ara, Hari) cannot be together, Girl’s World will not disband but will soon greet you as Girl’s World 2nd Generation with a new member lineup.”
On June 11, Girl’s World, now consisting of Windy, Kyrin, and a new member, was spotted performing, suggesting the group’s continuation with a fresh lineup. Liz Entertainment emphasized its commitment to the group’s future despite these internal changes and challenges.
