Once again, the American rapper, Tekashi 6ix9ine, is under fire with the Dominican authorities after he was accused of domestic violence, leading to his arrest on Wednesday. He is held in jail in the Republican capital and is scheduled to be brought before court on Thursday for trial.
Tekashi 6ix9ine was previously arrested in the previous year for an alleged case of assault and his failure to appear in court over various traffic citations that he failed to pay, thus making his recent arrest his latest brush with the law.
Tekashi 6ix9ine, originally named Daniel Hernandez, is a recording artist who was always surrounded by controversy due to his legal battles.
This started back in 2015 when he got accused of child sexual performance and pleaded guilty for the same, thus getting sentenced after a trial, and his sentencing required Tekashi 6ix9ine to maintain good behavior for two years.
Tekashi 6ix9ine has, however failed to learn from his mistakes, which has resulted in a series of arrests involving him in 2018, including the one where he got accused of choking a fan and assaulting a police officer, which led to a four-year probation sentence.
Currently, Tekashi 6ix9ine is being held in Santo Domingo’s capital by Dominican authorities after he was arrested on Wednesday after his former girlfriend accused him of domestic violence.
The decision regarding the same is left in the judges’ hand in front of whom Tekashi 6ix9ine has to appear for the trial with the judge having the responsiblity to decide between letting him out on bond or letting him stay imprisoned.
While the judgment and decision in Tekashi 6ix9ine’s recent case remain undecided, the Dominican authorities have decided to continue with the investigation even if the judge decides to let Tekashi 6ix9ine out on a bond, meaning he would be able to walk out of prison after paying a certain amount of money.
Tekashi 6ix9ine rose to instant fame after his songs, including “Fefe” and “Gummo” became instant hits amongst the listeners, but the rapper has always run into trouble with the law due to his temperament and anger issues, with the latest brush being due to him assaulting a record producer.
In March 2023, Tekashi 6ix9ine was attacked by a group of three men in a gym’s bathroom in Florida, following which the rapper had to be hospitalized due to the injuries caused during the brawl while the authorities investigated the group of three men and arrested them on charges of assault.
Once again, Tekashi 6ix9ine was arrested at a seaside hotel in the Dominican Republic region by the responsible authorities on the charges of assault after a well-known produces accused him of the same so most probably during a talk, Tekashi 6ix9ine lost his temper and ended up raising his hands on the said producer.
The rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine has also been accused of using a violent gang located in the U.S. for his personal benefits, including using them as his personal hit squad.
