Tekashi 6ix9ine Arrested in Dominican Republic: Are The Allegations True?

Once again, the American rapper, Tekashi 6ix9ine, is under fire with the Dominican authorities after he was accused of domestic violence, leading to his arrest on Wednesday. He is held in jail in the Republican capital and is scheduled to be brought before court on Thursday for trial.

Tekashi 6ix9ine was previously arrested in the previous year for an alleged case of assault and his failure to appear in court over various traffic citations that he failed to pay, thus making his recent arrest his latest brush with the law.

Tekashi 6ix9ine, originally named Daniel Hernandez, is a recording artist who was always surrounded by controversy due to his legal battles.

This started back in 2015 when he got accused of child sexual performance and pleaded guilty for the same, thus getting sentenced after a trial, and his sentencing required Tekashi 6ix9ine to maintain good behavior for two years.

Tekashi 6ix9ine has, however failed to learn from his mistakes, which has resulted in a series of arrests involving him in 2018, including the one where he got accused of choking a fan and assaulting a police officer, which led to a four-year probation sentence.

Currently, Tekashi 6ix9ine is being held in Santo Domingo’s capital by Dominican authorities after he was arrested on Wednesday after his former girlfriend accused him of domestic violence.

The decision regarding the same is left in the judges’ hand in front of whom Tekashi 6ix9ine has to appear for the trial with the judge having the responsiblity to decide between letting him out on bond or letting him stay imprisoned.

While the judgment and decision in Tekashi 6ix9ine’s recent case remain undecided, the Dominican authorities have decided to continue with the investigation even if the judge decides to let Tekashi 6ix9ine out on a bond, meaning he would be able to walk out of prison after paying a certain amount of money.

Tekashi 6ix9ine rose to instant fame after his songs, including “Fefe” and “Gummo” became instant hits amongst the listeners, but the rapper has always run into trouble with the law due to his temperament and anger issues, with the latest brush being due to him assaulting a record producer.

In March 2023, Tekashi 6ix9ine was attacked by a group of three men in a gym’s bathroom in Florida, following which the rapper had to be hospitalized due to the injuries caused during the brawl while the authorities investigated the group of three men and arrested them on charges of assault. 

Once again, Tekashi 6ix9ine was arrested at a seaside hotel in the Dominican Republic region by the responsible authorities on the charges of assault after a well-known produces accused him of the same so most probably during a talk, Tekashi 6ix9ine lost his temper and ended up raising his hands on the said producer.

The rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine has also been accused of using a violent gang located in the U.S. for his personal benefits, including using them as his personal hit squad.

Well, it seems like Yailin and Tekashi 6ix9ine have a toxic relationship, as prior to Tekashi 6ix9ine’s arrest, his former girlfriend, Yailin La Más Viral, was arrested on charges of assault against Tekashi 6ix9ine after the couple got into a spat, following which Yailin admitted to intentionally vandalising Tekashi 6ix9ine’s car after he stole her passport and money.

Born in the neighbourhood of Brooklyn, New York City, on May 8, 1996, Tekashi 6ix9ine, originally Daniel Hernandez, is a professional American rapper who rose to fame after his songs “Gummo” and “Kooda” became an instant hit amongst the audience and his fans labled his singing style as aggressive rapping style.

Tekashi 6ix9ine was raised Christian but his beliefs clashed with the public’s view of the perfect Christian after he became a father to his oldest daughter at 18 and he had another daughter with two different baby mommas while his life continued to be surrounded by controversy due to his violent nature. 

For a brief period of time Tekashi 6ix9ine, the popular and beloved rapper suffered from depression after he lost the only father figure he knew of, his stepdad, who was shot dead, following which he stopped eating and showering, thus losing lots of weight that ended with him having to be hospitalized.

In 2017, Tekashi 6ix9ine was involved in a controversy with Trippie Redd after Tekashi 6ix9ine was accused of being a paedophile, following which Trippie Reed denounced Hernandez stating that if we give the niggas’ the clout, we fulfil their desire to have clout.

Another controversy Tekashi 6ix9ine was surrounded with involved Justin and Ariana as he accused the two fellow singers of buying their way to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 list after their debut single titled “Stuck With U” made its way to first position while Tekashi 6ix9ine’s song ended up being on third position.
