Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann have lowered the price of their Atlanta home for the second time since October because it hasn’t sold yet.
They first put the house up for sale in October for $6 million. In mid-December, they dropped it to $5.5 million, and now, they’ve lowered it even more. Records show that on Thursday, they set the price at $4.5 million, which is 75 percent of what they originally wanted three months ago.
The impressive stone mansion is being sold by Jenny Doyle of Atlanta Fine Homes Sotheby’s International Realty. It’s on 1.78 acres in Milton, Georgia, about 40 minutes north of Atlanta. The house has seven bedrooms and 11 bathrooms in a living space of 15,694 sq. ft.
There’s also a six-car garage, billiard and arcade rooms, a gym with a private massage room, a 500-bottle, climate-controlled walk-in wine cellar, a heated pool, and a home theater.
Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann have the mansion as a big issue
Zolciak and Biermann bought the house in 2012, a year after they got married. They lived there with their kids: Kroy “KJ” Jagger Jr., 12, Kash, 11, and twins Kaia Rose and Kane Ren, 9. Kim also has two older daughters from a previous relationship, Brielle, 26, and Ariana, 21, whom Kroy legally adopted.
In May 2023, they started the process to legally end their 12-year marriage, but in July, they changed their minds and tried to make things work. However, Kroy filed for divorce in August. The house became a big issue toward the end of their marriage.
In February 2023, Fulton County shared a notice saying the house was in foreclosure because the ex-couple couldn’t pay back a $1.56 million loan they took out in October 2012. Truist Bank was going to put the property up for public auction.
During that time, a source told PEOPLE that Zolciak was saying it was all a misunderstanding and getting sorted out. Even though the problem got fixed, someone close to them shared with PEOPLE that money troubles had caused issues in their relationship.
Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann are in great debt
In August, Biermann went to court to be able to sell their family home without Zolciak’s agreement. Court papers from PEOPLE said that selling it could help get rid of “significant debt” for the couple. In October, a source told PEOPLE that they are still living in the same house.
The Bravo star, who left The Real Housewives of Atlanta in 2012, denied reports that the house was in foreclosure in November 2022. In a video on her Instagram Story, she said, “My house has not sold for $257,000,” and made it clear that she wouldn’t let a house they’ve put millions into go for such a low price.
Shortly after they bought the house in 2012, Zolciak showed fans around in a video on her show Don’t Be Tardy, saying, “I absolutely love our new home.” She showed off their fancy dining room and said, “Kroy and I are the king and queen of this house, so this is perfect for us.”
Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann divorce case
The divorce between Kim Zolciak Biermann and her on-and-off husband Kroy Biermann is moving forward. A judge from Fulton County Superior Court, Judge Shermela J. Williams, has ordered them to do mediation by January 31, 2024, to settle their divorce, as per court documents obtained by TMZ and Us Weekly.
The court order mentioned that since there are many unresolved issues, it would be better for both of them to try to reach an agreement through mediation. The order said, “Both Parties must attend the mediation session.” They can either use the Fulton County Alternative Dispute Resolution program or hire a private mediator, and the cost will be split between them.
If they can’t agree, the case will stay with the court. PEOPLE reached out to the Fulton County Superior Court and a representative for Zolciak Biermann for more information.
Biermann first filed for divorce in May, then they got back together and dropped the filing in July. He filed again in August. The athlete also asked for permission to sell their Georgia home because of possible foreclosure. A source told PEOPLE that, at that time, they were living in the same house but having a “money war.”
