As the news of Enhypen’s Sunoo receiving death threats came out, fans were not just shocked but also expressed their concerns. Many even urged the agency, Belift Lab, to issue proper security for the artist. Following the violent threats online, “Protect Your Artist” is now trending largely on X (formerly called Twitter).
Sunoo is an incredible Kpop singer from Suwon-si, South Korea. He was born on 24 June 2003, making him 20 years old now. It was in 2020 that Sunoo made his professional debut as a member of Enhypen. He joined it through his active participation in I-LAND, where he probably ranked 8th.
Want to know a fun fact about Sunoo? He had his show titled – “Sunoo’s Curiosity Research Center.” In that, he once shared that if he were an animal, he would have been a “desert fox.”
Keeping the fun fact aside, Sunoo undoubtedly has a great voice. At such a young age, he has garnered quite a lot globally.
In case you want to explore some of Enhypen’s hit musical releases, the list includes Bite Me, Polaroid Love, Criminal Love, Shout Out, Future Perfect, and Blessed-Cursed. Considering you are a big fan of the Kpop band, which is your favorite track?
Moving on with Sunoo receiving violent death threats suddenly, fans are quite upset by the news. What happened? It all started from the X posts following the announcement of Enhypen’s appearance at the 2023 Golden Disc Awards in Jakarta. Here is everything we know.
Why Did Enhypen’s Sunoo Receive Death Threats?
It was on 4 January 2024, the news of Enhypen’s Sunoo receiving death threats came out online. To be more precise, his anti-fans from Indonesia are targeting the Kpop singer with some negative comments. Not just death threats but also people making fun of Sunoo’s visual aesthetic. Many even stated that he does not fit the dark masculine vibe of the group.
What were those ugly, violent comments? Some were “He needs to be tortured,” “Sunoo can be just killed,” “Sunoo is indeed unlucky,” etc. Don’t you think it’s so cruel? Not every male person on his earth has a masculine vibe, and that’s okay.
It’s not under their control. Also, what’s bad in Sunoo? We wonder why some people are more attracted to their appearance and vibe and not just their talent.
Those ugly comments also marked the sentiments of many people. A post by one of the anti-fans shared that he hates canned pansy Sundogs (mixing Sunoo’s name with the word dog). He added that this Enhypen member is “sick, pretentious, fat like an elephant, too lazy to move towards a wild boar.”
The person added, saying, “Sunoo is indeed unlucky. Her mother would also regret giving birth to her if she found out that her child was a prostitute at the agency.”
We wonder how people can be so harsh to someone, that too, for no reason. No doubt, Sunoo is good-looking and, most importantly- talented. He is already shining and is believed to earn more as he grows up.
Some of Sunoo’s fans took part in the discussion on X, sharing that Enhypen’s agency, Belift Lab, should take care of the security of the artists, especially Sunoo. Not just that, some even suggested that the agency should take legal action.
One person wrote, “Ok, so the Sunoo antis who are threatening him, can you all shut the f**k up and stop being so pathetic. The boy already has a lot on his plate, but you decided to make death threats now ?? You all are insane.” Well, people should wake up now. It’s high time. It’s 2024, and some are still busy pushing gender roles. That’s ridiculous.
Best Wishes to Sunoo for the upcoming days. It’s just the beginning! Make sure to follow this Enhypen member on his Instagram account for more relevant updates.
At the 38th Golden Disc Awards, Enhypen won the “Best Album Award.” Congratulations! They are totally deserving.
