The Blackpink member, Jisoo, never fails to impress her fans, be it with her music, fashion choices, or stage performances. These days, she is making headlines for her extravagant wealth, as she highlighted it with her spontaneous purchases.
On the other hand, Jisoo recently moved to her brother’s agency. YG Entertainment shared that they aren’t allowed to pursue their respective solo career under the label.
Well, Jisoo’s prominence isn’t something to be discussed separately. She is a globally famous Kpop star, born in Gunpo, Gyeonggi. Last year, she made her solo single debut with “Flower.” It went viral on different platforms like Spotify, YouTube, Instagram, etc. Did you not listen to Jisoo’s first studio album – Me? If not, then you should.
Jisoo doesn’t just excel in music but also has great acting skills. By now, being a fan, you might know that she played her first leading character, Eun Young-ro, in Snowdrop. But, this time, she is ruling the internet for her next acting work – Influenza. Fans are eagerly waiting for it’s release.
Moving on with Jisoo being signed to her brother’s agency for solo activities, it goes by the name- Blissoo. In case you didn’t know, it’s a subsidiary of Biomom, Inc. Nobody was aware of the news until it made a hiring advertisement post that featured the Blackpink member.
Jisoo Is Signed To Blissoo For Her Solo Endeavors
Initially, Jisoo sparked rumors of her willingness to get herself signed with G-Dragon’s new agency. But, in reality, she didn’t do that. Instead, she joined Blissoo, which is her brother’s agency, as stated earlier. In other words, we may say that Jisoo showed some trust in her family. To be more precise, her brother serves as the CEO of the label.
In case you are unaware, the Blackpink members’ contract with YG Entertainment ended in August 2023. Last month, it was renewed but only for group activities.
The news of Jisoo joining Blissoo for her solo career surfaced online on 2 January 2024. As previously mentioned in the company’s hiring advertisement post, it was looking for some highly experienced employees.
However, a representative of Biomom, Inc. refused to comment anything on the matter. He said that it was very much “complicated” for the company to define its relationship with Blissoo. In other words, their family relationship was neither discussed nor brought out to the people.
When it comes to joining new agencies, Jisoo isn’t the only one. Another Blackpink member, Jennie, also made headlines a few days back. She made her debut with her label, OA. Since then, she appears to be more active on different social media platforms. Well, that’s a hint for her upcoming projects.
Now, the question is, why did the Blackpink members not renew their solo contracts with YG Entertainment? That’s because the label itself didn’t agree to the proceedings of any of their additional contracts for solo activities.
A part of the official announcement said, “We will do our utmost to support BLACKPINK’s activities, and we will cheer on the members’ solo activities with warm hearts.”
As Jisoo has now gotten herself signed under Blissoo, many fans have been questioning the identity of the CEO, a.k .a. her brother. Well, the name is not yet disclosed. But their relationship seems to be good. Otherwise, why would Jisoo have joined?
Best Wishes! Make sure to follow Jisoo on her Instagram account for more such relevant updates.
