82MAJOR is a six-member boy band signed under Great M Entertainment. They are named as – Seongil, Yechan, Seongmo, Seongbin, Seokjoon, and Dogyun. It was in October 2023 when it made its debut with the single album – ON.

During an interview, Seongmo shared that they are essentially a hip-hop group consisting of hip-hop musicians. All the members can pen down rapping lyrics and are hopeful about infusing K-pop elements into the hip-hop genre.
Another member of the 82MAJOR, Yechan, shared that even though all of them know how to rap, they don’t want to limit themselves. Moreover, they are looking forward to making more music. On this note, he said, ”Our musical spectrum is very expansive, so please look forward to it.”
What were their short-term goals? It was all about meeting fans and performing for them. Concerning their pre-debut, it was “Rare House,” which amazed many people across the globe. Seongil mentioned that many people rooted for them during their pre-debut and also waited eagerly for their performance. It was indeed a good start, and it encouraged the members a lot.
And what about their long-term goals? Willing to become the powerhouse of the Kpop industry, 82Major is looking forward to inspiring others. We all know how BTS, Blackpink, EXO, and a few others all rule the industry.
Seongil shared that all of them want to become a team, work hard together, and exert a positive influence. He said, “We hope to become an idol group that young children who have the same dream could look up to.”

Cho Seongil
He is considered the leader of this rookie group. Born in March 2004, he is now 19 years old. His birth month makes his zodiac sign- Aries.
Yoon Yechan
Another 82Major member, he is the main dancer and rapper of the group. Just like Seongil, he was born in 2004. His birth month, April, makes him Aries. He hails from Markham, Ontario, Canada (Unionville area). Well, that makes him Korean-Canadian. What about his English name? It’s Timothy Yoon.
Yoom Yechan is a very hardworking person. He started music at the age of 12. You will be surprised to know that he served as a trainee for 7 long years. Also, he is a sports freak person. In other words, he is very much into basketball and skateboarding.
Nam Seongmo

Park Seokjoon

Kim Dogyun
