Pit Babe is a Thai BL drama and a CHANGE2561 original series introducing us to the world of car racing that includes thrill. As expected, the series contains adult scenes and is advised for viewers above thirteen.
Pavel Naret Promphaopun and Pooh Krittin Kitjaruwannakul play the leading characters, Pit Babe and Charlie, respectively. The series is directed by Peter Nopachai Jayanama and written by Kanokphan Ornrattanasakul, Issaraporn Kuntisuk, and Fleur Irene Insot.
Tiwa Moeithaisong is the cinematographer, and S Vorarit Vaijairanai and Saithip Montrikun Na Ayudhaya are the executive producers. The series is based on an Omegaverse novel, whose certain elements are not featured in a live-action adaptation.
All episodes of Pit Babe are forty-nine minutes long and full of sports, romance, action, and comedy. Charlie brings the most humor. Pooh Krittin Kitjaruwannakul (plays Charlie) previously appeared in Boys Journey (2022) and The Story (2022) to discuss his upcoming projects, including Pit Babe.
Synopsis
Charlie is an aspiring car racer who has been admiring Pit Babe, the king of raceway from the X-Hunter team, for a long time. Babe has already achieved what Charlie has been dreaming of. Charlie neither has a car nor can rent one due to his joblessness. Thus, he requests Babe for one from his car collection.
Babe, being a stranger, rejects Charlie’s request in the first meeting, but Charlie follows him and promises to offer him everything he has in return. Seeing it as an opportunity, Babe asks for a bizarre favor, and Charlie must return empty-handed if he disagrees.
Finally, Charlie agrees to all conditions put by Babe, who in turn saves him from falling into the hands of his rivals. According to the trailer, Babe has been in physical relations with several guys but had a longer one with Charlie.
Charlie learns how unpredictable and adventurous Babe’s life is after staying with him. Babe’s childhood friend secretly loves him but does not express it due to Babe’s habit of changing his partners. On the one hand, Babe continues getting sexual pleasure from Charlie. On the other hand, a mysterious person stalks Babe.
Apart from intimacy, Charlie undergoes many test drives, and Babe chooses him as the ‘Babe’s Boy,’ though he does not help in auditions that require individual skills.
The series does not explain why characters make bold moves or ask for bizarre favors. The story moves faster, and the characters live without motivation, except Charlie. People addicted to BL drama will enjoy it, while remaining viewers might get ridiculed with frequent boy romance.
Meanwhile, the racing tracks, competitions, and race cars have a separate fanbase. Many viewers think the actors justified their characters, though things progressed and scenes went quickly. Some were waiting to see Pavel, who won their hearts in 2 Moons 2 and Coffee Melody, and he created the ‘bad boy’ vibe in Pit Babe.
