God Valley island, drawing ambitious pirate crews hungry for the immense power the fruits could provide. Among those lured by the tempting prospects were the formidable Rocks Pirates, including legends like Whitebeard, Big Mom, Kaido, and more. The mighty Roger Pirates also joined the race to claim the fruits.
The island descended into chaos as the rival pirate crews clashed. Seizing the opportunity, the slaves Kuma, Ivankov, and Ginny managed to finally get their hands on some of the powerful fruits amidst the fighting.
However, Big Mom snatched away the mythical dragon fruit before Ivankov could consume it. In the nick of time, Kuma ate the Paw Paw fruit and used his new abilities to help the slaves escape and flee the island as the pirates and Marines waged war for the fruits.
One Piece Chapter 1097 Spoilers
So the upcoming One Piece Chapter 1097 is titled “Ginny”, which shows that it might be going to be solely based on Ginny, or not, you know- Oda’s thing. Let’s jump into the spoilers.
Eight years following the occurrence at God Valley
So, the first bullet point shows that we are at South Blue at the Sorbet Kingdom, and the timeline is eight years after the incident of God Valley or 30 years ago before the present time.
Nearly a decade has passed since we last encountered Kuma. Now 17 years old, he has become a pastor and discovered his devil fruit powers allow him to heal the sick and elderly of their pains and ailments. The poor villagers lovingly call him the “Miracle Hand” as he travels the countryside, providing relief to all in need.
Ginny too, has matured over the years into a beautiful 21-year-old woman. Though popular among the local young men, she still finds time to scold and care for the elderly who camp in the church for refuge.
Meanwhile, the citizens complain that their new King, Bekori is a cold-hearted and stingy ruler. He shows no mercy, even forcing the ill and infirm to pay him tribute. Unbeknownst to the people, the selfish King covertly listens in on their conversations via wiretaps, blushing in embarrassment at his own actions.
Kuma makes a weekly round, promising to use his powers to heal all minor pains and sicknesses of the people. He condenses the accumulated suffering he removes from them into a paw-shaped bubble. Taking on the burden himself, just as Zoro did years ago, Kuma absorbs all the condensed misery.
This act secretly breaks Ginny’s heart, as she knows Kuma does this weekly ritual to selflessly relieve the people’s suffering, even at great cost to himself. He explains to her that someone must bear the burden of the pain so it does not return to plague the people. And so, Kuma happily takes on the role of their relief from misery.
When Kuma is 22 years old, 25 years before the present time
Ginny has proposed marriage, but Kuma gently refuses her offer. Furious, Ginny continues pressuring him, though Kuma yearns for their happiness. He recalls his parents’ tragic past and wants to spare Ginny similar heartache.
Changing topics, Kuma shares news of Dragon and his Freedom Army. He admires Dragon’s courage and sense of justice. Kuma dreams of one day sailing the seas, saving lives just as Dragon does. It’s the life purpose he seeks.
The two boys who once bullied Kuma, including one named Gyugyu, now bring fish to Kuma’s home. Both seem to harbor crushes on Ginny despite her affections lying with Kuma.
Something terrible happened 22 years before the present time
Now 25 years old, Kuma discovers the King’s army kidnapping his people. They claim new laws allow the kingdom to “use” southerners however they please, including as slaves. Enraged by their unjust actions, Kuma unleashes a powerful Ursus Shock attack on the kidnappers.
In the aftermath, the tyrannical King divides his kingdom in two. He casts off the neglected southern lands where the elderly and impoverished reside, deeming them burdensome to his prosperous northern domain. Kuma’s beloved church also lies amongst the discarded southern lands.

Kuma, Ginny, and their allies soon find themselves jailed for protesting this unjust division. But unexpectedly, the revolutionary Freedom Army arrives, led by none other than Dragon and Ivankov. Recognizing his former friend, Ivankov urges Kuma to join them in revolution and transforming the world.
Inspired by their noble cause, both Kuma and Ginny join the Freedom Army. Together, they expand into the Revolutionary Army that will soon echo throughout the world.
However, Dragon admits they lack the necessary funds and resources. His aims are to aid rebel factions in deposing their corrupt kings, while also training new recruits in combat and weaponry.
Disillusioned by the Marines’ flawed sense of justice, Dragon vows to find the truth. He promises Kuma will not regret his loyalty to this new brotherhood. Though engrossed in the cause, Kuma still returns when he can care for his beloved church in the discarded southern lands.
Ginny has become the East Army Commander
Years have passed and Ginny has risen through the ranks to become an East Army Commander in the Revolutionary Army. She eagerly anticipates joining up with Kuma’s squad the next day for an important mission.

But suddenly, devastating news reaches the Revolutionary Army’s headquarters in Baltigo – Ginny has been kidnapped by an unknown and unexpected enemy force.
The messenger urgently reports the kidnapping to Dragon himself. Shocked by the disappearance of his high-ranking commander on the eve of a critical operation, Dragon demands answers on who is behind this brazen act against the Revolutionaries.
Ginny’s abduction raises alarms throughout the leadership as they grapple with this mysterious and threatening new adversary. All wonder if she is still alive or what sinister motives lie behind her capture. As their investigation begins, the Revolutionaries must also scramble to sustain their plans without one of their key leaders.
