Anya’s got her eyes on the prize of becoming an Imperial Scholar, but her lackluster grades are throwing a wrench in her plans. When whispers swirl around the school of a legendary treat crafted by a mysterious chef that can supposedly turn any kid into a genius, she and Becky are immediately intrigued.
Determined to get their hands on these mind-enhancing morsels, the duo sets off on a quest to track down the ephemeral baker before his scrumptious snacks are sold out.
But they aren’t the only ones seeking the urban legend’s scrumptious secrets. Damian and his wealthy friends have also caught wind of the brain-boosting baked goods and will stop at nothing to procure the limited supply for themselves. With demand far outpacing the small number available, a heated pursuit ensues across town.
Anya and Becky scramble to follow clues and signals pointing to the baker’s whereabouts, while Damian’s gang leaves no stone unturned in their ruthless hunt. It’s a race against time and an opponent’s resources to be the first to find the food rumored to make Imperial dreams come true.
Meanwhile, Yor is on a mission of her own as a favor for Frankie – locating his lost cat, who has been missing for days.
