Angela Renée White, aka Blac Chyna, is an American model, socialite, rapper, and television personality. She made guest appearances in Keeping Up With The Kardashians, RuPaul’s Drag Race, Hip Hop Squares, The Real Blac Chyna, Grown & Sexy, and more television shows.
Thirty-six-year-old Robert Arthur Kardashian is an American television personality. He was in a relationship with the actress Adrienne Bailon from 2007 to 2009 and the singer Rita Ora in 2012. Rob’s Instagram account was banned when he posted Chyna’s explicit photos. However, he uses Instagram through Jenner Communications.
Chyna dated the rapper Tyga from 2011 to 2014 and gave birth to his son in 2012. They attended Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s wedding in 2014 as a couple.
After splitting from Chyna, Tyga started dating Kylie Jenner, and Chyna got into a relationship with Kylie’s half-brother, Rob Kardashian. Thus, their relationship was complicated in the beginning.
Rob And Chyna’s Relationship
In January 2016, Blac Chyna uploaded a photo with Rob Kardashian on Instagram with the caption, ‘The Beginning…’ which was deleted afterward. Rob and Chyna moved in together at the former’s apartment in Calabasas but did not blabber about it.
In April 2016, Rob proposed to Chyna, and they got engaged. However, according to Kim Kardashian’s statement in ‘Keeping Up With The Kardashians,’ Rob did not inform them anything. Chyna revealed she was expecting in June 2016.
The same month, the couple announced their TV show, ‘Rob & Chyna,’ which debuted in October 2016. People assumed they separated in July 2016 when Rob unfollowed Chyna on Instagram.
Surprisingly, the Kardashian sisters hosted a baby shower inviting Rob but not Chyna, according to Rob’s now-deleted tweet.
Chyna gave birth to Rob’s daughter, Dream Renée Kardashian, in November 2016. She legally tried to change her name to Angela Renée Kardashian before marrying Rob, but the Kardashians were against letting her use their surname.
Finally, Chyna’s petition was rejected in March 2017, according to the US Patent and Trademark Office.
Why Did Rob And Chyna Break Up?
Chyna accused Rob of being jealous and questioning her loyalty. He did a paternity test to find Dream’s biological father and forcefully scrutinized Chyna’s phone. She left Rob and took Dream with her, according to Rob’s claim on Snapchat. It is how they broke up.
Cosmopolitan claims that Chyna wrote on Instagram about the verbal abuse she went through. According to the now-deleted Instagram post, he regularly abused her. He begged her to conceive a child (Dream) and accused her of cheating.
Rob’s text messages would emotionally hit her hard. Still, she did not leave him because she hoped everything would be fine one day.
Later, Rob agreed and apologized through his Instagram posts. The Kardashians were concerned about his deteriorating mental health because he had an ugly legal battle with Chyna over Drem’s custody. Moreover, he could meet his daughter only under supervision.
Their show, ‘Rob & Chyna,’ was halted in March 2017. However, the team continued filming with the Kardashians, talking about the couple’s journey. After three months, he accused her of cheating and posted her private images on Instagram and Twitter, which were later taken down.
Accordingly, Chyna filed a lawsuit against Rob over defamation. However, she lost the legal battle in 2022 when the judges announced no major damages were caused to Chyna’s career. Thus, she did not get monetary benefits.
Meanwhile, Chyna sued the Kardashians for using their power to cancel the show, “Rob & Chyna.’ The defamation case was going against Kylie Jenner, Khloé Kardashian, and Kris Jenner, while charges against Kim Kardashian were dropped in between.
The Kardahsians’ lawyer stated that the show was canceled by the E! network because the show, ‘Rob & Chyna,’ cannot run without Rob and Chyna. Thus, the decision was made in the favor of the Kardashians, and Chyna, again, got nothing.
On the other hand, Rob testified that Chyna put him at the gunpoint and strangled a phone-charging cable around his neck. She was high and busy hitting him with a metal rod. However, it did not leave any mark on his face.
Corey Gamble was the only person to testify about Chyna’s deeds. He saw her punching and whipping him with a phone-charging cord. However, Chyna said she jokingly strangled the phone-charging rod, though Kylie Jenner criticized it.
