Wingardium Leviosa! Where are all the Potterheads? Harry Potter is a classic fiction movie series. Who does not love a good Harry Potter storyline? Watching Harry Potter and its Hogwarts wizardry has always been exciting. But what if you could actually PLAY and be in Hogwarts and use all the spells? Oh, that would be so much fun!
On 10th February 2023, Avalanche Software gave birth to a role-playing Harry Potter game, Hogwarts Legacy, packed with action, potions, and spells. As much as we love our Harry, Ron, and Hermoine, we are not able to interact with those characters.
This is because Hogwarts Legacy takes place in an era even before these Harry Potter characters existed. So, let’s just say you are the hero of this era. That is so cool, man. Show us around your Hogwarts castle in the Hogwarts Express when we visit!
For those who have been playing the Hogwarts Legacy game, you must have bumped into a lot of locks when wandering around the Hogwarts castle. Don’t ignore those locks just because you don’t know how to open them!
Those doors hold a lot of precious treasure behind, including collectibles, mysterious hallways, equipment that would be of certain help to you going forth, and so much more. Let us show you how to crack these tedious locks open so that you can grab these valuables and make them of some use!
The Alohomora Spell
What is the Alohomora spell? Well, this spell is the unlocking locks spell. In Hogwarts Legacy, earning spells mostly needs you to finish the primary plot expeditions and additional tasks. You can reach previously inaccessible regions of the Hogwarts Legacy game by doing extra tasks and clearing challenges. That’s the magic of spells. It’s a cycle if you look at it closely.

How to Bag the Alohomora Spell?
Countless locks that you won’t be able to unlock will come your way right from the beginning in Hogwarts Legacy, but we will show you how to master the Alohomora to help open the locks.
You must finish the main quest, “The Caretaker’s Lunar Lament.” After you clear the quest “Prepare For Your Search For The Final Keeper,” the aforementioned quest becomes accessible. When the adventure is set to kick off, visit the caretaker, Gladwin Moon, by the flowing light of the Grand Staircase. You will be assigned with locating Demiguise moons and eliminating the statues for Gladwin Moon. The guy is terrified of them.
So, let’s just say you are his guardian angel. To help you, he will explain the Alohomora spell so you can enter the faculty building and grab the Demiguise moons inside. This mission is mandatory if you want to proceed with the game.

Cracking Locks in Hogwarts Legacy
You have to finish a quick challenge to break the locks open. The red light is controlled by the right stick, and the green light with the left. The red light operates the inside of the circular ring. The green one turns the locking mechanism’s outer ring. You have to make sure you carefully twist the rim outside such that the mechanisms in the lock’s bottom right corner begin to move.
Do this again with the insides while holding the outer part in position. Only this time around, you must figure out the placement which triggers the mechanism in the lock’s heart to revolve and click open if you execute it effectively. The lock should simply crack open.
Here’s a quick hack. Place the lights in either cardinal or intercardinal ways or at every 45-degree angle.

Opening Level 2 and 3 Locks
Getting your hands on Demiguise statues and more Demiguise moons is the key to unlocking both level two and three locks. Note that you can only pick the moons up during the nighttime. For level two, Gladwin Moon needs nine moons. Whereas for level three, Gladwin needs thirteen Gladwin moons.
Go get your grab those Demiguise moons and statues!
We hope you can open the locks with ease and uncover a lot of precious prizes!
