Vijay Varma is an Indian actor who rose to fame while primarily performing in Hindi language films. Following his critically acclaimed performances in Pink (2016), Gully Boy (2019), Baaghi 3 (2020), Darlings (2022), and the online series Mirzapur (2020–present), She (2021), and Dahaad (2023), Varma gained notoriety and praise. Varma was born on the 29th of March 1986, in Hyderabad, Telangana, into a traditional Marwari family. In Hyderabad, Varma’s father runs a handicraft company, and not much is known about his mother online. He is the youngest of three children, with an older brother named Manoj Varma and an older sister named Shobha.
A Suitable Boy (2020), directed by Mira Nair and based on the Vikram Seth novel, is part of Vijay’s other acting projects. Another is Anand Gandhi’s miniseries, “OK Computer,” a sci-fi mockumentary. He was included in Film Companion’s list of the “100 best acting performances of the decade” soon after Gully Boy was released.
Vijay is an enthusiastic gamer who lives by the rule of “watching one movie every day.” His rise to national fame and recognition is truly remarkable when you consider the fact that he had absolutely no prior ties or relations in the film industry, and his image and wealth are all because of his organic efforts and hard work. In short, he isn’t a repo baby that Bollywood seems to have had enough of. In fact, he is a self-made actor whose reputation is all a by-product of his own talent and abilities.

His debut role was in the critically praised short film “Shor” by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, which won the Best Short Film award at the MIAAC festival in New York that year.
