1. Aspect of Disobedience
The Aspect of Disobedience is an S-ranked codex class item, which can be obtained upon defeating the boss monster of Halls of the Damned dungeon in Kehjistan.
When equipped, the Aspect of Disobedience provides a variety of defensive effects, such as increasing the player’s overall armor rating by 0.25%-0.50% every four seconds of dealing damage. This buff can be stacked up to 25-50 percent.

Additionally, it also grants the passive skill “Defiant Will,” which triggers a temporary damage reduction buff whenever the player’s HP falls below a certain point. The Aspect of Disobedience is available for all classes making it one of the most flexible defensive options in Diablo 4.
2. Aspect of Might
The Aspect of Might is an A-ranked codex class item, which can be unlocked upon conquesting the Dark Ravine Dungeon, through a progress campaign, in the Dry Steppes.
Once equipped, every time you activate a basic skill, the damage taken is reduced by 20% for 2 to 6 seconds. Also, the aspect has a passive ability that reflects part of incoming damage back to the enemies.
The Aspect of Might can be helpful for all classes due to its very simple activation criteria, i.e., constantly using basic skills to deal with the monster while being granted damage reduction.
3. Everliving Aspect
The Everliving Aspect is an A-ranked non-codex class item that can only be found equipped on randomly dropped legendary equipment through which it can later be extracted upon.
Players equipped with the Everliving Aspect take 20%-30% less damage from crowd-controlled or vulnerable enemies. It is very useful gear for one vs. many situations but not so much for one vs. one.

However, what holds it down the most is the fact that it is only available for the sorcerer class. But even with this many drawbacks, the everlasting aspect is one of the best for anyone looking to raid a dungeon or fight against opponents having a wide Area of effect attacks.
4. Aspect of Protector
The Aspect of Protector is a B-ranked codex class item, which can be obtained upon completing the dungeon, Lost Archives, located in the Fractured Peaks region.
The Aspect of Protector grants the user a barrier that can absorb damage up to a certain amount for 10 seconds. This effect can be activated once every 30 seconds upon dealing damage to an Elite enemy.
This aspect is available to all classes and is especially useful when going up against a mob led by an Elite monster. The Aspect of Protector excels in situations where tanking and damage mitigation are needed.
5. Protecting Aspect
The Protecting Aspect is a C-ranked non-codex class item that can only be found equipped on randomly dropped legendary equipment through which it can later be extracted upon.

When struck while not at full HP, a magic bubble is formed around you for about 3 to 5 seconds; additionally, while standing inside the bubble, all players are immune to every attack, irrespective of the caster’s level. This aspect can be only activated once every 90 seconds. However, despite this, the Protection Aspect is one of the best aspects available in the game.
Protection Aspect is available to all classes and is extremely useful in situations where you are surrounded by multiple enemies.
The right defensive aspects can make a huge difference in your playing experience in Diablo 4. Although all the defensive aspects mentioned above would be challenging to find, trust me when I say that acquiring these would be worth it, especially toward the latter half of the game.
