A synopsis has been released by the creators for the upcoming show.
The plot is going to feature a woman named Peggy. She used to live with her mother in Yucca Town in California. This is a small desert town in the state. Although, the series will begin with a huge tragedy for her where we will witness her mother dying. She happens to be an addict, but this incident will really shake her up enough to change her life. Thus, Peggy makes a decision to become a detective instead.
She will also have a couple of friendly faces around her on the job. Denny is Peggy’s ex-boyfriend who works as a parolee. We will witness him coming in to help Peggy and be a relentless operator. Guru Bob is a local who worked as an anchorman. Although, he was also involved in a traumatic incident where he rebranded himself as a mystic desert personality.

Carol is the best friend of Peggy and always gives her honest advice. She is in a relationship with an ER Doctor but is very bored with him. She also has a permissive stepmother whose storyline will be seen as a subplot. She is hiding a secret, and it would be interesting to know what that is. Bruce is yet another private investigator in the town whose business is almost going down and getting close.
Later in the series, we will see that he takes up a job with Peggy even though he initially did not want to. Peggy’s mother will be shown in flashbacks in some of the scenes where the past needs a quick briefing. Also, sometimes we will also see Peggy’s sister come through on the series, where she tries to order up some of the chaos that Peggy is involved in.
