Theo has arrived at the city of Sipoto in his search for “the king of mice” information guild, as informed by Carnice. He has faced a lot of challenges so far in his journey, but thanks to the new artifacts he got, he has pushed through everything unscathed. As he closes in the distance, more mysteries appear before him as he faces the royal army of the Austen Kingdom, who have now turned into bandits. What caused such a change? How have the mighty fallen so much?
The Book Eating Magician Chapter 90 ends on a suspenseful note as Theo arrives at his destination. As he enters the guild room, everyone looks at him with suspicion until one member calls him an “unwelcome visitor.” Is this a call for battle?
Theo is in uncharted territory and so he needs to be on guard, or he will succumb to the mysterious city of Sipoto. What is this piece of information that Theo is so eager to know? Will there be answers? Or will more blood be shed? We’ll see in The Book Eating Magician Chapter 91!
The Book Eating Magician Chapter 90: Recap
In the previous chapters, we saw Theo’s group get attacked by a bunch of bandits. Theo has been itching for a fight for so long, so he takes this opportunity to test out his newly found powers. He quickly summons four living armors to protect his group so he can fight freely. He commands the living armor to protect everyone from the bandits and then walks up to the leader of their group. The bandit leader asks Theo to stay back and hand over all their valuables to them if they want to live, but Theo can’t just stand back and get ordered around, and so he goes on the offensive by using his magical powers.
Flonel’s guild master, Gord Flonel, gets amazed by Theo’s skills and abilities. He says that he has never seen living armors as strong as the ones Theo summoned, and he thinks if Theo would let him buy the bracelet artifact he used to summon these living armors. As Gord thinks about his course of action, Theo finishes off the bandits and approaches him. He tells Theo that a sandstorm just passed by, and Theo says with a weird smile that it happened because of a hidden artifact the bandits used.
Gord inquires about what happened to the bandits while thinking about the fact that such strong artifacts exist in reality. Theo says that the bandits got caught in the sandstorm, and so he finished them off, which amazes Gord as Theo clears a whole group of bandits all by himself. Even if some of the bandits got hurt because of the sandstorm, it’s still a great achievement to be able to finish all of them, and so Gord thanks Theo for defending him and his group, as they were able to live another day because of his help.
Theo says that he just got lucky and that those bandits fought till their last breath. He then expresses his concern over the Austen kingdom’s disaster and how it has caused army men like Janissaries to turn into robbers. After some time, they arrive at the Kingdom of Trades, Kargas’s border city, The City of Sipoto.
Theo decides to get off at Sipoto, but Gord stops him as he can’t let him go empty-handed. Gord then gives Theo two coins as a reward for his help, and he explains that these coins are used for identification; if they are shown to someone, then the person in possession would be treated as a guild master and would enjoy all the benefits of that position.
Theo argues that it’s a lot, but Gord takes full responsibility for it. Gord then asks about the bracelet artifact as he still wants to buy it. He offers 100 gold for it, but Theo refuses by saying that it’s borrowed and so he can’t sell it. The brace belongs to Norden, the amber tower master, and owing to its abilities costs a lot more than 100 gold. Theo then says farewell to Gord and sets out to find the place Carnice told him about. The place is named “the king of mice” and is supposed to be the best information Guild, but as Theo walks into the guild, he’s met with many sharp gazes.
