Blue Crush is a 2002 sports film which is based on Susan Orlean’s 1998 Outside magazine article. The article was titled ‘Life’s Swell.’ The tagline of the movie is ‘If you want to feel the rush, then you have to take the risk.’
John Stockwell is the director of the movie. Brian Grazer is the producer of the movie. The stars of the movie are Kate Bosworth, Coco Ho, Matthew Davis, Michelle Rodriguez, Sanoe Lake, Mika Boorem, and Faizon Love. There were real-life surfers present in the movie too.

The beach is among the world’s renowned surf spots. Most other surf films have also been shot here. In Blue Crush, most parking area and beach area was used.
The luxurious hotel where the girls work is the Blue Crush Hotel. In the movie, it is never mentioned where the hotel is situated, but it appears to be on North Shore. Scenes were shot at the JW Mariott Hotel, which is situated in Ko Olina, which is on the southwest side of Oahu.

Plot Of Blue Crush
The movie focuses on the story of Anne Marie Chadwick, who is played by Kate Bosworth. She is a surfer who belongs to Hawaii. Kate is now trying to make a comeback after suffering from a fatal accident while she was surfing. Anne has two best friends, Eden played by Michelle Rodriguez and Lena played by Sanoe Lake. The three of them are seen at the opening of the movie. These three are best at surfing and hope to make it to the pro tour. But Anne Marie is still haunted by the memories of her fatal accident.
Meanwhile, making it to the pro tour, Anne works as a maid in the Blue Crush Hotel. She takes up this job in order to support herself and her younger sister Penny played by Mika Boorem. Anne falls for a football player named Matt Tollman, played by Matthew Davis.
Anne Marie avoids all of this and follows her passion for surfing. Anne Marie and her two best friends start getting training for the competition. Anne and Eden compete with each other on tour and give each other pep talks.
