We find out that the “Fake Dad’s” actual name was Sota. Ever since the accident in Fukui, Tsubasa was in a coma, and this continued for whole years. Currently, he is living in a world of dreams. Minako, Tsubasa’s mother, visits the real Tsubasa, who is still hospitalized. She brings him food and is brought to tears on seeing the condition of her son.

Then we see Tsubasa’s dad, Kakeru Ichinose, on the top of a building, trying to end his life. Minako stops him and tells him to come back. He breaks down and starts telling her how much of a failure he is. He tells her that he had a dream where his entire family was happy and living together peacefully.
