LV9999 Unlimited Gacha Chapter 76 “Trap”: Recap
Light is facing off against Orochi, and after successfully freezing the insects, he now has to finish it off. He thinks of the attacks which could be effective against this dragon as his blue rose and grand explosion have already failed. The Orochi faces Light with his 3 heads, but he still keeps his other 4 heads pointed toward Mei even though she isn’t fighting.
Light thinks of how he has been able to survive this 1000-level gap so far because of Mei and decides not to ask for her help anymore in order to keep her safe from future attacks. The dragon is able to regenerate its head when destroyed, so any small attack would only increase its number, and so Light decides to kill it in one single blow.
Light uses his attack SSSR whirlwind dance to cut the dragon open and then uses the SSSR thunder to fry the dragon from inside. The attack seems to have worked. The attack caused a huge noise that affected Light’s ears, so he realized he shouldn’t use this attack again inside a dungeon. Suddenly, he finds out that the dragon has started to regrow even after being disintegrated into dust.
The Orochi rises again, and this time it has even more heads than before; he also does not look happy as he immediately launches an attack on Light. He uses the blades of wind and thunder, the same attack which Light used, which means that he can learn any attack he endures. Lights use SSSR blue rose, but it doesn’t even affect the dragon and the insects free from his spell.
Light is forced to trap himself inside an ice prison. Mei informs Light that the insects have developed resistance to wind and fire the same way as the Orochi, meaning that the Orochi is capable of sharing his resistance with his summons. Light thinks that if he attacks it again, then he will only make it stronger, and he isn’t strong enough to kill it in one strike.
Mei gets angry at the insects and asks for Light’s permission to dispose of them, but Light asks her to trust him and stand down. The Light uses a grand explosion and gets out of the ice prison.
The shards of ice from the prison damage the Orochi, which gives Light an opening to use the SR-crushing bomb. He finds out that physical attacks still affect the Orochi, and so he launches a barrage of all his attacks.
Light gets cornered, and so he is left with no choice but to use the only UR card the unlimited gacha gave him. The Orochi senses its power, but it’s too late. Light releases the card unleashing UR venom, a poison that will continue to grow until it devours its target as a whole, which means that the Orochi’s regeneration won’t work against it.
