Recap
Sophie moved into a rental and parted ways with Rob last week. This had nothing to do with acquiring a bathroom at last. Rob received sex videos and messaged someone, cheating. Rob emerges as Season 10, Episode 6 opens, and he can see that there are a ton of insects all around him.
Because it’s on the way to the restroom, we bring this up. What a precarious scenario. Nevertheless, Rob claims that the fact that Sophie isn’t contacting him back has left him in a state of despair. Because he saw what he did as “free porn,” he doesn’t think it was cheating.
Although receiving intimate films over direct messages from someone isn’t considered cheating, it is advisable to discuss this with your partner. Yes, even though it happened months ago. Rob now worries that Sophie may have departed already. Until she answers, he cannot try to put this right. She isn’t labelling her fiance a cheater, though. Rather, she’s phoning Claire, her mother.
She tells her how she checked Rob’s phone in a dream she had that he was cheating. (Never examine someone else’s phone; if you can’t respect their privacy and trust them, you probably shouldn’t be in a relationship.) Sophie found explicit, nude movies and texts on there.
Although the specifics are unknown, it appears that Rob was corresponding with someone, possibly an online flirt or a sex worker on OnlyFans. That’s not the same as just watching porn, for example, and Sophie thought his communications were disgusting.
At this point, Sophie is unsure of what she wants. She loves Rob after all, but if she goes back to the UK, their relationship will end and her K-1 visa will be revoked. She feels stranded because of the visa predicament. Her mother is now aware of what she wants her to accomplish.
Claire starts enumerating all of Rob’s apparent flaws. The claim that he is unemployed may or may not be genuine. If so, how does he maintain his (very awful) apartment? There are many questions we have. In any case, she declares that she won’t give Sophie instructions.
Yet I would personally really like to see her go back home. This chat would have been the news of Sophie’s split if she didn’t still love Rob. It isn’t. Sophie claims that she is unable to let go of Rob so easily. Sophie hasn’t, but someone else might have.
Concurrently, however, Rob has experience with this and understands Sophie’s feelings about internet infidelity. It implies to her that he will simply repeat the action with greater caution this time. More cunning.
