The reality documentary series titled 60 Days In is out with a brand-new season and has moved on to the Pitt County Detention Centre in North Carolina. We are already a few episodes in and done with this season, so let us tell you about 60 Days in Season 8 Episode 6, which will soon be released.
While fans may know the series by its other title, The Jail: 60 Days In, the plot of the series is based around some participants who volunteer to go undercover in a real prison, as criminals themselves, to find evidence of or get information related to any unlawful acts that may be taking place in the prison.
The seven seasons of the show have been filmed in a lot of different prison centers, and this time, for season eight, the crew is taking us to North Carolina. This season has cast members named Jake, Charlotte as Coco, Cliff as Jamil, Stevie, Sarah as Sara, Curtis as Clydell, and lastly, Brittney.
With the intention of putting an end to the conflict between criminals, illegal acts, or just about any problems that may be taking place in the premise of the different prisons, this show came to life, bringing together members of the public who get trained and thrown into real prisons to become agents who must survive the hell that prison is and bring back crucial information that may change the prison conditions for the better.
Being in a real prison could be an experience not just for those who are there on a mission and in prison but even for the audience who streams the show and vicariously lives through the agents. But some viewers do tend to feel uncomfortable knowing that normal people with a clean record are being asked to volunteer to spend time in prison, as it can be mentally taxing for many.
60 Days In Season 8 Episode 6: The Plot
The show brings a band of seven normal people who consciously make the decision to volunteer and enter the perimeters of the prison, and they are asked to stay in prison for a total of sixty days. This time these volunteers will be staying at the Pitt County Detention Center in North Carolina.
It is ensured that most of the prison staff, like the guards and other officials, and all of the inmates do not know of the infiltration. The volunteers, as you may have already guessed, are provided with lessons on how to act ‘like they are part of the crowd’, and they are given a separate alias and a brand new back story, which includes their criminal charges and the reason for the arrest.
All of this is done for the volunteers to get their hands on evidence of any illegal activities or gang rivalries that may be taking place within the prison that may have somehow escaped the cameras or the correctional officers who work in those places.
