Vijay and Shanti (Sujoy Ghosh)
The third story of Lust Stories 2 encircles the life of eccentric Vijay, who is leading a happy married life with Anita. Vijay’s wife Anita comes from a wealthy family, which is the reason why he marries her, to acquire a good position in a top company. On the other hand, Vijay also has an extramarital relationship, which makes him the villain of the whole “Sex With an Ex” story written by Sujoy Ghosh.
One day, Vijay comes across someone whom he met a long time ago. Her name is Shanti, and she is a girl with pretty eyes, fair skin, and a perfect body. This girl, Shanti, happens to be Vijay’s ex-wife, who had disappeared 10 years ago. Not only because Vijay wants to know about the past 10 years but out of sexual desire, he wants to get close to Shanti, but she does not have any such plans.
When they finally talk about their past, Shanti gets to know that Anita was the one who wanted to kill Shanti 10 years ago, and she is the only one who should be blamed for her disappearance. The relationship between Shanti and Vijay rebuilds again as they get physically intimate. But soon, Shanti realizes that Vijay is the one who wanted to get rich by marrying Anita, and that is why he tried killing her 10 years ago.
Vijay decides to kill Shanti, and when he does, he discovers that her body has disappeared again. The story of Vijay and Shanti concludes with the assumption that Shanti died 10 years ago and it was her ghost or Vijay’s imagination that he was interacting with, as Shanti’s appearance in the present matches the description of the perfect woman Vijay loves to get intimate with.
Maharaja and Devyani (Ravindernath Sharma)
The last story of Lust Stories 2 chronicles the life of Devyani, who is married to a man who calls himself Maharaja. This story takes us to the village of Rajasthan, where Maharaja has control over the whole village, especially his family, including his wife and his son Ankur. Talking more about Maharaja, he has a lust for many women he comes across and is a rapist of not only those women but his wife as well.
Before marrying Devyani, she used to work at a brothel, and Maharaja promised to give her the royal life that she always desired. But her dreams never turn into a reality, as she is stuck in Maharaja’s toxic masculinity, abuse, and patriarchy that even her son has been suffering. Once Devyani decides to take action, she and Ankur can run away to London for her son’s career and her life at peace.
Devyani hires a girl from the brothel, Rekha, who is infected with a disease that can kill her, and the one who has sex with her. Devyani believes that Rekha will become Maharaja’s next target as she knows how difficult it is to handle lust for Maharaja. Devyani plans to lead Rekha to sleep with Maharaja so that even he will get infected, and she will be relieved to see Maharaja, her rapist, on the deathbed.
At the end of this last story, Devyani, who is first happy that Rekha is sleeping with Maharaja, discovers that it is, in fact, Ankur who is sleeping with her. Devyani breaks down as her son is now infected with the disease, while Maharaja is happy and healthy enough to abuse her and other women around him again.
