Upper Moon Two Doma is one of the coolest demons among the twelve kizuki. Doma made his very first appearance in Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba Entertainment District Arc, even though his appearance was quite minimal and it was just a flashback of memories of Gyutaro when Doma decided to turn the siblings into twelve kizuki like him. Now Doma has already made his appearance in Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc’s very first episode.
But so far, we have only seen the nice guy aura of Doma. Even in the previous season, he was kind enough to turn the siblings into 12 kizuki, and he was pretty sad to learn about their end in the current season too. Doma likes to play the nice guy character, and unlike Upper Moon demons, he comes off as a pretty cool guy who does not care much about things.
But he is as complex as the other demons; if you have read the manga, then you’ll know what we are talking about. Being an Upper Moon Two, Doma has many powers and abilities, and we are sure you already know that Doma’s rank was not always this high in the Kizuki, but he climbed up the rank only because he never stopped improving himself. Even we got the hint of how jealous Upper Moon Three Akaza was of Doma because of his powers and abilities when Doma was just being nice to him.

Upper Moon Two: Doma Powers
Upper Moon Two Doma has extremely good strength, Doma became a demon after Upper Moon Three Akaza, and he still managed to climb up the rank above him, so it’s not hard to imagine that he is better than Akaza in all aspects. Viewers have already seen Akaza in action, so it is pretty easy for us to assume how much better Upper Moon Two Doma would be in comparison to him to maintain a rank above him.
Upper Moon Two Doma shares more of Muzan’s blood, so he is more powerful than all the other upper-rank demons in the 12 Kazuki except Kokushibo. Doma took pride in his power when we were introduced to him in Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba Swordsmith Village Arc episode 1; when Akaza ripped off his head, Kokushibo stepped up to punish Akaza for his behavior.
Doma explained that he was just having fun with him; he also mentioned that he saw Akaza’s move but did not want to doge it by choice, so it is pretty clear that he has good reflexes. Doma’s body composition is very strong, as Shinobu struggled a lot to cut off his head but still could not manage to do it until Inosuke used his sword to help her out.
Upper Moon Two: Doma Abilities
Upper Moon Two Doma’s battle technique is tessenjutsu; he uses a fan technique to attack his opponents. Doma has amazing reflexes and agility; he uses tessenjutsu as a weapon to fight against the demon slayers. Doma’s Blood Demon Art is cryokinesis, which lets him form ice; he then manipulates it to his own will. Since Doma has already mastered this ability after decades of practice, he uses this icing technique on battlefields often. Doma-generated icy wind is deadly for humans since it can fail their lungs, and within minutes they can stop breathing.
The ice created by his demon art technique is very cold Hashira had a very hard time with Doma on the battlefield, and some of them even had to fear that their lungs would collapse or they wouldn’t make it alive; it was that deadly. Frozen Lotus is one of the techniques that Doma often uses, in which he uses his fans to create sharp ice lotuses directed at his opponent.
Barren Hanging Garden is a combination of 8 to 10 fan attacks that create sharp ice splinters that can easily cut his opponent. Freezing Clouds is Doma’s ultimate go-to technique that he often uses against his enemies. He produces a large number of clouds that throw freezing wind around the opponent, which can eventually put them to death.
