Dua Lipa delivered an exquisite ensemble on the 2023 MET Gala red carpet. The English-Albanian singer and pop superstar has become a household name in the music industry since her debut album in 2017. Her unique voice and style have claimed critical acclaim and a massive fanbase.

Dua Lipa’s Modern Version of the 1992 Chanel Look
As one of the co-hosts of the night, Dua Lipa had to deliver the right package. Exceeding our already high expectations, the pop star strutted on the MET red carpet wearing a charming white tweed ball gown from Chanel’s 1992 collection- originally worn by Lagerfeld’s famous muse, Claudia Schiffer.
The pretty gown featured a corseted midsection outlined by black-and-white piping. It had a big fluff as a skirt, with pockets (a women’s dream) and the hemline, was fringed. She completed her look with metallic pointy heels, simple and subtle makeup and her coal hair was styled in curls.
The most celebrated element in her ensemble was the $10 million, 100-carat diamond necklace. Lipa is the first to adorn Tiffany & Co.’s new Legendary diamond, which is affixed to the Lucinda Star necklace of the brand. The 100-plus carats diamond reflects the cushion cut dimensions of the yellow Tiffany diamond. Found in Botswana, the new white Diamond is D-coloured and has 82 facets!
Dua’s two MET looks are polar opposites- one screaming in your face and the other gracefully greeting you. Making her debut on the MET red carpet in 2019, the Don’t Start Now singer wore a mind-bending several-hue Versace dress. Her was over the top, done big and bold, accompanied by hair accessories. The two bows on the dress, the bust, and the train were bright and loud, much like her confidence.
Speaking about fashion, she expressed her fondness for dressing up, mentioning her preference for outfits that seem effortless. She finds that clothes that are thrown on abstractly can create the best outfits. Drawing inspiration from the 90s, Dua enjoys combining loose-fitting pants and blazers with slip-dresses paired with thigh-high boots or leather jackets, creating a unique mix of styles.

Putting an end to the night, Lipa went full sporty spice for the after-party. Dipping into Chanel’s 2022 spring/summer collection, Dua wore a black bra top and sheer black tights, which she wore underneath partially textured biker shorts.
She heavily accessorized the fit with layers of chain Chanel necklaces on her neck and waist and a chunky pearl necklace. Adding to it, she wore fingerless gloves, sunglasses with shiny accents and completed it with black pumps. It was reported that Lipa made a second outfit change when she reached the top of the steps. She changed into a sheer black lacy Chanel dress, originally worn by Stephanie Seymour.
