Tyler Perry is known for his dramatic series and the political soap opera, The Oval, is no exception. Revolving around the newly elected president and his family, this show is as messy as any political drama could get. The Franklins, Hunter, and Victoria might be the president and first lady, but behind closed doors, they are the most ruthless people that could ever exist.
First seen on October 23, 2019, the show started with the introduction of the Franklins into the public eye, while also being given the power of being a president. Over the years, the show has been renewed frequently, with the most recent season airing in October of 2022. The 4th season of The Oval has been ordered for around 22 episodes, with the first part ending on December 20th, 2022.
The story picks up right after the events of the first part and has continued airing since January 3rd, 2023. It starts with Kareem investigating what went down in his house, while Priscilla catches one of the cast members red-handed. With only 2 episodes left of this season, the plot is only going to get much crazier for all the characters of The Oval.
The Oval portrays the reality of those in power, who are willing to go to any lengths to protect themselves and their positions. Not just the Franklins, but those who work with them including the butlers have dark secrets that they keep hidden from plain sight. In this fight for power, the show leaves us guessing who the real antagonist could be.
