The fight between the blue dragon Artalis and Zephyr has been raging on for quite some time now and both of them have been refusing to be defeated. In the last chapters we saw, Artalis converted his life force into a sword while he was on the verge of death. He experienced a sudden burst of anger when he remembered his Lord Kaiserus and turned the tables on Zephyr but Zephyr is also not going to back down either!
Zephyr’s dragonification is running out with just 12 minutes left. He also has only 1 dragon breath left but those numbers won’t stop him from fighting as he’s faced with the dancing blade of death created by the dragon’s life force. Only sheer concentration and strength can defeat such a foe and so he puts all his mind into immense strength and uses the skill Berserk Dragon Mode.
This skill is a huge gamble as it takes away the dragonification time in exchange for a 200% increase in the user’s physical strength and so Zephyr is only left with 3 minutes now. After powering up, Zephyr charges straight for the dragon as he does not have any time to waste. Their battle gets intense and they end up cutting down the tree of life.
Zephyr gets reminded of the teachings of his master and how he learned the dragon king style. The main objective of this style is to let the strength flow and one who can truly understand this concept then they can defeat a strong opponent even with their little strength like a leaf can cut a tree or even a dragon.
With these words in mind, Zephyr marches forward and slashes the dragon’s flesh revealing its weak spot. The dragon tries to go underwater and escape but Zephyr catches him and follows him underwater. Kiara and Dariel lose their coordinates but Dariel still tries to shoot his arrows but he misses. Meanwhile, Zephyr manages to land a blow at the weak spot of the dragon.
Artalis is reminded of his past again and he sees his battle with Georgius and how he got defeated in a very short battle. Georgius stabbed Artalis with a stake and sealed away his powers but he still hoped that only if he didn’t kill Kaiserus, they could’ve been friends.
Georgius then walks away after wishing that he would never meet Artalis again. Artalis opens his eyes and finally realizes that the person he’s fighting is not Georgius but he’s most definitely his successor, the new dragon slayer.
